Who likes running plastic wheels on their scale comp rigs? Advantages? Disadvantages? Been running VP wheels on all my crawlers and got to wondering if going lighter wheels would improve or hurt overall performance.

I also use CI 6 Bolt wheels. It's my first comp rig so I can't say it's better or worse than metal wheels but I like less rotating weight with the plastic. I feel like if I keep the wheels light I have more power because of less parasitic loss from turning the extra weight.

Pics stolen from the CI event in April.

Happy with my 3d printed/carbon TFR wheels on my wraith rock racer. Gets the motor power to the ground just a touch quicker and heck, just a little less mass for the servo to take on those those hard hits. I dont run any extra brass/weight on this truck and it still performs pretty good in technical crawling.

i ran machined wheels on my wraith and loved it! I would buy metal and never look back!
