pocket knife

Buy the best steel you can afford....whether it be cheap 154cm...or 1095...or d2 or d4....or s30v or s35v....that's where the first big decision is to be made.

After you choose the steel....choose the shape...warncliffe or sheep's foot or recurve or what have you

Those two choices will drastically narrow down your choices. From there it becomes more personal preference...leith, name brand, color of handles, etc...

Personally, I carry a custom Doug Ritter Griptillian with one off Cuscadi scales....and I love it. I am, on the other hand, replacing it with s CRK sebbie

I had a Sebenza and ended up selling it.

Quality knife absolutely no doubt, but it didn't really bring anything else to the party the Ritter did.
Plus the lockup wasn't very strong.

I really liked the ZT560 but it was a bit too much of a heavy lump to carry around.

Here is my little pocket knife, plenty strong enough. It is a Smith&Wesson Outback. I just can't figure out why the state trooper asked me why I have a machette in my truck when I got pulled over lol.

This knife has met and gone beyond my expectations!!! I beat the crap out of this thing everyday and with a lil sharpening here and there it is as sharp as a razor if not sharper!! I am very happy with SOG and the quality of their product!! So much that I grabbed a SOG Fasthawk!

When I was a receiving manager I carried a Nite Ize holster with an ink pen, led mag light, sharpie, and a Leatherman Wave. I also carried a Kershaw scallion and a Kobalt replaceable blade box cutter. Always prepared!
