what do you consider a regular comp crawler?? how meany comps a year does it take to be a "comp crawler"?

IMO need a 3rd option for those who comp a little bit, but causal crawl/ scale crawl more regularly. i regualrly scale crawl/ casual a few times a week but rarely ever get my comp rig out to go to a comp, but i still comp when one pops up i can afford to drive to @9mpg

i enjoy an occasional comp. but prefer to hang with my friends and beat on our trucks. some of the comp guys take it way to serious, there just toys.

Both really

I'd like to comp more, but fuel costs for the longer drives and not always being able to get the days of some comps off because of holidays in the winter and the HTU I work for runs rc races in the summer so those can kinda get in the way of that. For the casual stuff, my biggest problem last summer was weather, it seemed like almost every day I had off, it was raining or my favorite spot was under water:roll::ror: This year might still be affected by weather but more heavily will be affected by gas prices though:evil:

If you comp on rare occasion, when they pop up I would classify that as a casual crawler. If you plan for and attend a number of comps a year you are a comper.

I suppose, on this site anyway, comp folks are a good share of the crowd. I am not sure if this plays true in the general RC community though. Probably depends a lot on your location too. Not a lot of serious crawling places in DE.

I comp 1:1 so I just naturally gravitate toward comping my xr10. Just getting into it. I'd be running Battlegrounds, but I'll be racing a KOH qualifier that weekend. I'll definately be travelling about to hit the rc comps though. Just gotta figure out how to dial this rig and my driving skills in.

Crawling with buddies is what I do, no real comp craze in Northern Utah, So me and buddies drink beers and hit the rocks!

I like doing both, more Casual than comp, just because of my work schedual:cry:
I do like taking the comp rig to my work, after work I will stop off and climb some BIG rocks. i'm still shocked, on how well an MOA crawls.

Alright, not that much, more like 2-3 times a month. My club series and test n tune comps, fun comps, and other local club comps.

Comp crawler here. Actually comps seem to be the only chance I get to run my rigs. Everyone talks about practice and tuning, I say whats that :ror:
