Project: Land Rover LR3 on 1.9's Mud slingers (used to be 1:12 silverado)

that looks good, i think the horizontal setup looks best, but what looks cooler is when they (handyman jack) are mounted on the hood right in front of the windshield.
here are a few pics for ideas:

seeing those pics, i think you should make a brushguard and put it on that like the first pic, b-cuz that looks really cool.
hope the pics help give you some ideas.

Thanks for the great pictures.
I do really like the way yours is at an angle.
I saw these pics after I mounted mine and took my pics. lol
But I might just change it to look like yours.
will see.
maybe I will switch it up . lol

Shit, while your at it why done you just scale out the whole inside like these JK guys do? like hide all the eletronics under all the seats an run all the led lights along the roof under the "headliner" an put all the eletronics under the seats. ;-) that be one scaled out rig "thumbsup"

Lol, but that would take to much time to do all that stuff.

So lol, keep up the good work on what you do,
I'm planning on doing a scaler myself within the next few weeks or month or so with my AX10 "thumbsup"

Cool I cant wait to see your scale truck as well.

Yeah i wish i had an interior as well.
I just want it all. lol
but cannot afford it all.
lol
I love my RC truck, but now that I have a full size i maybe spending all my money on that hobby.
So who knows.

I did look at the pics bro
thanks for sharing! "thumbsup"

I love all the ideas.
the best parts about that jack is it can be mounted all over the place haha.
even on my roof rack as well.

So next. hmmm
not sure.

I'm thinking about removing the stupid New Bright lisence plate and making a sweet MA plate.

Also I am going to KEEP thinking about how exactly I want to mount my winch, and sliders/fender flares, and bumper.

So while I think about that I am thinking about adding some stickers to my truck.... "thumbsup"

Maybe you all can take a look and help me to pick some from this sheet.?

Also I am going to make my on on my Computer.
just not sure what ones to make yet. lol

Warn for sure.
i am thinking trail master for my shocks instead of Racho.
not sure though.

what i have to work with so far.

FILE0190.jpg

you should make some alpinestars stickers!, it has nothing to do with off road or crawlers, but its just a coool symbol..
yes definately warn stickers, maybe the BFG stickers and KC fogs

I say throw them Thrush stickers on there. I mean....how often do you see a range rover with Thrushes?

lol
Land Rover with Thrushes. lol
never. so probably not thanks.

yes i agree i need to start saving some pics and test printing :ror:

Speaking of KC lights.
i have a cool idea for my lights I will share later.

No stickers yet, still plotting locations.
I am in process of making a few on the computer.

but this morning while I was bored i decided to take a stab at making a few bungie cords. "thumbsup"
so I took a few elastics from my wife. hehe.
I'm going to have to replace them now. :-(
I also stripped Hunter Dan and gave his cloths to my wrestling dude. lol

but just to give an idea of how its looking so far.
here are some poser pics with some hunting gear on top. I also have my summer gear. 1:10 bike and surfboard. "thumbsup" but its not warm here so those shots will wait. haha

nice tut"thumbsup"
but i think to make them stronger, then you should instead of cutting off the thing you used for the pliers to hold on to for when you wrapped the wired around it, you should poke that little end into the elastic so the hook doesnt slip. but i dont think those things will be need to hold down anything crazy like another rc on a trailer while trying to crawl, so they're prolly fine, but just an idea"thumbsup"

I'm with him on the trailer part ;-) maybe a Whitebone trailer? nawh, it'll prolly be easier for you to make one out of brass an put a set of like 18R wheels on it or even Mini-T offroad tires with an agressive tread pattern like your slingers you have.. :) Maybe another AX10 on th trailer? or just put some displat rides on it,Lol. A Losi MRC with a TCS L-Trail chassis would be sick as hell "thumbsup"

Just throwing out some ideas ;)

thanks for the tip but believe it or not I cannot pull out the cords from the paper clip wrapping at all!! "thumbsup"
It is wrapped very tightly.
It is wrapped tight enough to squish the rubber inside the cord down and that is what holds it on.
I think if i poked the stub inside the cord it would make them rip easily.
Think about putting a hole in a rubber band. it weakens the band. ;-)
you are making me want a trailer again now. lol!"thumbsup"
maybe one in the future.

yeah that is a great idea! haha
those trailers are sweet but I do not want to buy one so i would probably try to make one.
and use the mud slingers on it as well. "thumbsup"
but what to tow. ? lol
I wish i had some 1:10th scale Snowmobiles or ATV's or Dirtbikes.
but all i find them in is 1:12th scale :x

keep an eye out for me. lol

thanks

heres a 1/10 scale snowmobile : http://cgi.ebay.com/1/10-Radio-Cont...temQQimsxZ20090122?IMSfp=TL090122171005r31977

looks kinda cheesy as in prolly breaks easily, but is a good representation of the ski doo skandics, it would look good on a trailer.
you should figure out a way to make a trailer that articulates, so that you can crawl without it tipping... that would be AWSOME!!
do the atvs, dirtbikes, or snowmachines have to be rc??? if not then wally world (walmart) has very nice dirtbike models with working shocks and the riders could be perfect for if you had an interior because some of the models have helmets that can be removed.

yeah that is a great idea! haha

Mhmm, Maybe either one of these on a open trailer to look like a dirt track trailer?
LOSB0221-GAL4.jpg

That be really cool, but your Rover is set up more for like snow an some heavy offroad mudding, so maybe like a Losi MRC converted to a Mud Truck with a TCS L-Trail chassis would be cool as hell. ;) Maybe, mhmm, idk, your possiblitys are endless with what to tow.. ;-)

check out some of my home made stickers!

I've been followin your rig progression, an by god its a gorgeous one I mite add;-)

Just a quick question;

I wanna run my stock RTR wheels on my Axial, But I wanna get mudslingers for it, Would 1.9's fit the stock RTR wheels?

Or should I get a pair of MRC wheels an put the slingers on it?
(The MRC wheels are 1.9's)

I'm just not sure cause I wanna build a scaler, but I dont like how freakin tall my stock RTR wheels an tires are, an I wanna put a set of smaller wheels & tires on it.

Would the wheel hex fit the MRC wheels? or do I need to buy a different set of wheels to put on it so they fit the Stock RTR wheel hexs?

I like the bead lock wheels though cause I can just buy tires an swap them out;

I have a thread of my truck under the AX10 section

Just search it an put in "Heres My Ax10"
Or vist my profile an view my posts "thumbsup"

Help would be great; Thank you
