Looks good buddy, i too am running the Xirtic Steering and have to agree that it is awesome! I also have my tierod above the steering link and knuckles, LOTS of clearance!

Nate

I have the same issue with the brass bushings at the knuckles with my light axles. Was hoping they would send us early purchasers some updated bushings.

send support@rc4wd.com an email describeing the whats wrong i did this last night and got a response this morning, took some pics sent it there way and they asked for my address. hopefully they can come up with a solution for the other bully drivers also.

That bend is because the bolt on the back left of the servo is contacting the upper link mount. Countersink the bolt and use a flat head screw and it should fix your problem.

It's looking sweet, Punk. I'm a newb to RC crawling and just began building my first rig. I've bought the lightweight bullies and also purchased the RC4WD steering kit for them. Do you expect me to run in to any complcations with them and why didn't you choose the steering made for bullies??? Thanks man, I look forward to this rig to come together.

check out my other build thread, i have used the rc4wd steering option for the past few months and its a great mount. nothing against rc4wd but theres allways room for improvemenet. they know it just as much as we do thats why were on our 3rd version of the bullys, and rc4wd is also allways striveing to make them better everyday. i had a problem of breaking servo horns. this could ither be my fault with cheep $8 alum servo horns or it could be a bad design feature. i figured id take a leep of faith and try the new steering option since i had followed the design to production kinda closly. i really liked the way xirtic has put so much time and testing into his product and it shows. the steering option has allready shown to be a proven winner with the super bullys and now its time to shine on our 2.2 rigs. your going to be extremely happy with the lightweight bullys, and they are so well built. my advice to you is get the rig built and play as much as you can, you say your a newb right there your ahead of the game. take as much advice that you can from fellow crawlers. it looks like youve allready found a club or clubs in your area these will be your greatest resource other then our bully section and rcc in general. go out and have fun with the bullys learn what they are capable of then try and push the limits. its allways more fun to crawl with other guys or gals so i woudl sujest meeting up at as many of your local gtgs as you can these people will be able to give you advice and also push you to strive for better finishes and also friendly rivalry is also allways fun. feel free to pm me with any other questions you may have i can be long winded and dont mind going into detail :D

Man, thanks for all the advice. I'm sure I'll be happy with the steering kit from RC4WD. Once I get my rig rolling and see what improvements I need, then possibly I will switch to xirtic. Can't wait until I have a complete rig. Thanks again for your help. How much is the xirtic steering system anyways? Also, could you post a link so I can take a peek? THANKS!!!

with my dhs im running stock axial and for the rears im running the second to the smallest, i dont remeber the number off the top of my head. i like a small ass so i shrunk it as much as i could and may even go smaller since im mounting my battery up front instead of on the rear axle.

Vanquish hubs on the DHP's are

335 are Narrow
460 are Medium
585 are Wide

if that helps

so just a bit of an update the rigs done and ready to go minus 1 bearing. ive been real busy at work and still need to send rc4wd back some stuff to exchange out its my fault on that one. hopefully next thurs ill make a trip to the hobby store and grab a new body and also a bearing to get me running untill then.
