Range Rover Classic build

sounds good. looking forward to it.
Having a hell of a time trying to fit the MRC under the interior I have. I suspect my chassis isnt going to work...

Holy Jebus dude!!! Slow down!!! hahaha.... "No Custom Title" should say, "Perfectionist Styrene Fabricating King!!" LOL Looks good man "thumbsup"

I just can't get enough of watching how you create these amazing builds.

oh thats funny!

here is comparison:
MRC axles with reduced mud thrashers (1.5) on classic, my hybrid BFDG's on the rover sport. Notice a)how narrow the mrc axles are (possibly too narrow I think, need wideners) and b)how narrow the BFDG's are!

Man, looking at that picture I think the Dirt Grabbers need to be under the classic too.

Well, welcome to Pantablo's Body Shop, rover specialists...lol.

the black around the windows really sets it off.

also, not shown, I cut new steel channel rails for the chassis. still trying to figure that one out...MRC to steel ladder frame...bent in the front like on a bruiser too.

Wow! that looks just amazing, talk about bringing life into a lexan body! Cant wait for more...

thanks. its been a challenge with the lexan, and to be honest I'm not completely pleased but can't resist the Classic, lol...

looking great buddy.
:flipoff:
you're just jealous, lol. Thanks for the body...

That's a great build"thumbsup""thumbsup""thumbsup"
But I think the Axles are too narrow.
I agree, they need some wideners or deeper offset wheels.
I also agree. they are way too narrow. First I will try narrower tires to see if that makes it look better, more stock looking perhaps but I also have some wheels coming that have more offset for this reason (rc4wd steelies). If those arent enough offset I'll try the 1.7 brat 'steelies' I have since they have a significant offset. I'm going to try and avoid a full widener though. There are hexes that add 3mm or so and I might try those. The wideners add an inch, which I think is too much. I do want the tires inside the body on this one.

Dirt Grabbers would be very scale under this body. ;)

I'm just going to make a copy of your dads, lol...its so awesome.
Can I ask you, why is the hood painted black in the center? is it the same reason other trucks paint their whole hoods? and what do those wires do, from the top of A pillars to the front corners?

The reason they paint the hoods flat black is to cut down the sun glare.

very cool pics indeed.
i can only speak about the wires, those are risers.
they pick up low limbs and move them away from the windshield.
Yes...

...and yes. :)

He doesn't like the look of the whole hood being black, an even that little bit helps a lot with the glare. It also gives the hood a little more dimension.

damb dude ur like a rc god:shock:
haha, thats very nice of you to say...but not really in that league. I just have a bunch of trucks, I glue some styrene together and I make some videos...there are a bunch of guys here that are well above me in the skills part. its not that hard to do really. anyone can do it with a little practice.

8)

brazed the chassis/skid together today. really want to leaf the rear.

I got some rc4wd steelie wheels hoping they'll make up for the lack of axle width. if not, I'll make up a set of brat/steelie wheels. I mocked them up from my rover sport and it will be a good width.

It's such a delight to see what you have done with these bodies, they start out looking so plain and run of the mill, and then the transformation. Very cool, very cool indeed.
