SORRY!
They CG'd Superdude's face due to a mustache for another roll, dumped in three new characters with little to no background story (I like character development) and it just plain felt hurried and clunky.

That's because DC is trying to play catch up to Marvel. Marvel did a good job setting up the individual assets before putting them all together in a big movie. DC hasn't spent enough time fleshing out it's main characters, so the big movie comes off as forced.

Thor Ragnarok 9/10, best of the Thor movies.
Murder on the Orient Express.. ok, feels like they skipped some details. If you have read the book it kinda ruins the mystery part of the murder mystery. 6/10

and Deadpoool 2 trailer 11/10 lol

Bob Ross came up in discussion at work (I'm in the Navy, he was Air Force)
and i played this "trailer" for everyone. as soon as he beat the brush, everyone knew what was going on and died laughing.

i cant wait for DP2. and... CABLE!!!!! oh man... i was a huge fan of the cable/Deadpool duo. "body slide by two" oh man i cant wait to hear josh brolin say that!!!

i haven't watched any movies lately and i really want to see Thor Ragnarok.
i did however finish Netflix Punisher. well done! physically i think Bernthal is too small (i think warzone's Ray Stevenson was ideal size/build), but Bernthal nailed the psychological aspect of Frank Castle and how tortured he is. great show and looking forward to season 2."thumbsup"

Kong: Skull Island - 6/10.

It was an okay action movie, but two plot inconsistencies and the "randomness" of some of the story annoyed me. That is all I will say, as I don't want to do spoilers. They had a good concept but just didn't execute it well. I suppose that is 99% of movies today...

Thor...

It was a superhero movie that didn't take itself too seriously, which made it a lot of fun to watch.

Star Wars Last Jedi "thumbsup"

I liked it, but leave any and all theories at the dam door. After I watched it a second time I then went to read some reviews... holly hell.. the range of love to hate of this is crazy.

STAY FOR SOME OF THE CREDITS!

Star Wars the Last Jedi. I agree with some of the negative reviews as the movie did have one thing that bothered me (Finn/Rose sequence was unnecessary), other than that it was amazing, and I give it a 9/10. Definitely one of my top Star Wars movies.

anyone seen DUNKIRK? i love WW2 movies/stuff and wondered if it was any good? i think it just came out on blueray/dvd

Beowulf 3/10

But i wish they had not gotten the Danish topography so wrong, if Denmark looked like that i would be back into crawlers in no time.

But sadly my country are flat like a pancake with few countries in the world flatter than us.

Crap...was there something more than the “in memory of?”

Rose was thrown in there for diversity sake, me thinks. I did enjoy that subplot though.

I loved the movie. I was grinning & gasping the whole time.

Just saw this today, I thought it was pretty good. Like a lot of people, I wanted more Luke.

I am pretty sure the Finn/Rose sequence is setting something up for the next one.

Atomic Blonde - rented BluRay last night - incredible. Charlize Theron is just so intense in this, the fight scenes are exhausting to watch. Love me some good cold-war spy shit, and it delivered in spades.

Great '80s soundtrack, evocative of a era... Movie takes place in Berlin right at the climactic moments before the wall came down. Might need to buy this one later.

Kingsmen (whatever the 2nd one is called) - not as good as the first, still good mindless fun - more of a truly perverse mindset throughout the entire movie. Fully bizarre cameo by a aging rock star who knows how to poke fun at himself.

Overall, felt a bit off. Still worth the BluRay rental cost ($2 normally, but free as I had earned credits from previous rentals).

Saw a preview for a sequel to Sicario (Soldado)- really enjoyed the first, this isn't from the same director, might be less thought-provoking - but Benicio del Toro is THE MAN!

I liked it 8/10. No real deep dialog, but its good. Watch it on the biggest and best TV you can get access too. There are time hops in it. Goes forward, then jumps back, then forward... to follow different people. Its not pulp fiction level confusing hops, but the first time it happens you will go "huh".

Elf. I’m slow I know lol. Nevertheless I thought it stunk. If not for the sniper snowball shot it would be worse 5/10

Loving. 7/10. Very good for couples whom are in a “interracial” relationship as myself being Anglo White and my other half being full Honduran. The movie is based on a true story about a white southern man whom marries an African-American woman and catches hell for it especially being in the south (Virginia). Worth a look for anybody regardless of age, race, marital status etc.

Oh man spoilers! Lol
But yeah i mentioned this film i think last page when it was in theaters. And yes, the big screen is THE way to see it. Chris nolan blew me away doing something other than batman. Brilliant.

And yes, the last jedi.
Hurm...
I liked it. A lot. Though i cant make my final judgement until next one comes out, to see if somebody was telling the truth about a certain somebodys parents. And other answers but yeah... i can see why people are upset. Am i? No, not really. A movie that can make you that upset is... wit for it... a really good movie! Thats what its supposed to do! Make you FEEL!

I had the instict to stay for credits, but decided after about 10 seconds (most of that was my brain still processing what it just saw) i got up because i figured thats only marvel movies.

I will bring tissue. I barely held it together for her scenes in the movie.
Totally need to go see again. Just had my son with me the first time, my daughter and wife need to go this time.

But yeah overall, its way different and not what i expected at all. And thats why it was awesome.

* ok same day, later at night i watched bright on netflix per some of your inputs above.
I really liked it! Somebody said it was ike alien nation, bit with orks. Totally agree and thats what i thought exactly when i saw the trailers. My wife was lost though, asking why does he look like that and what s that person.... she fell asleep 30 minutes in. I did too for aboit 20 min and missed the arrival of the wand. I woke up and kept watching withhout skipping back, pretty easy to figure out.

So there is also a few good messages in this and totally fitting to have will smith do this.
I like how they tackled both racism and hate towards cops all in one package deal, and the whole thing didnt come off as corny or forced. The action was top notch, and the stunt and fight coreography was incredible. I dont know who the actress was that played the female elf with the crazy haircut but she was intense!

Overall i think i rate it 8.5/10. I would give it higher if i saw the whole thing but thts my own fault lol

Oh! I didnt rate the last jedi?! Ok 10/10 not just because its star wars, but because of the amazing performances from the entire cast. Perhaps a credit to rian johnsons directing of those cast members. Also loved the crap storm it started off screen lol like i said its a good movie if it gets you so involved, that you are upset about stuff that happened in the film. I am 100% convinced that when episode 9 comes out, people will totally change thier minds about 8 and really appreciate it as a solid entry in the sequel trilogy.
Sorry that was really long winded to say 10/10 lol

"Star Wars: The Last Jedi" 9/10. I really liked it. It was a fun action movie in the spirit of Star Wars. The only gripe I had was with Laura Dern's performance. She is a better actress than what she did in that movie. The way she portrayed that character was very flat.

As for all the fanboy outrage... If that plot point has them raging and signing petitions, give me a break. They are sinking to the level of Star Trek fans. They are proving, as usual, that the most ardent fans aren't always the best fans.

I found it lacking in the usual SW epicness. Lots of really cool little scenes, but nothing really meaty like there usually is. I'm ok with that.
