RC4WD Gelande II D110 Truck Kit w/Hard Body build/review

Why not buy the kit? The RTR isn't as good as the kit is, like many other RC cars....

I've decided to build a pro mod monster truck myself. Based off of the Ground Pounder, it'll have yellow rims, a black chassis, and a yellow body with lightening bolts and I'm going to call it "Thunder Chicken".

Embrace the craziness lol

The kit and the rtr
The only difference is the trans
Kit comes with 2 speed
Rtr comes with single speed
Which i like i prefer the single speed over the 2 speed
Less clutter

I plan on driving it around and upgrade what ever breaks
Im also in contact with this guy from the philippines
Made to order jeepney from a tin can
Something like this

:D
Itll be perfect for this tf2
But its going to be a low rider :D

I think ill go with tekin
Medic made a video of that waterproofing it

Instead of plasti dip I've uncased two fxrs coated everything but the buttons with two part epoxy been three years on the first one completely submerged several times and a year on the second one in my tf2 its been submerged as well and never had an issue plasti dip may peel and allow water in epoxy is solid and sealed no heat issues either"thumbsup"

Aww man you should of made a video
Is it pretty easy to open it
How about those buttons tho

Its just 4 small screws holding the case together i mixed up a batch of epoxy and used a toothpick to apply it onto the board and carefully around the two buttons i did mine in two coats the lower part first let it set then the upper part after it all set just looked it over to make sure all gaps were filled between ghe boards and just epoxy around the bottom of the battery and motor posts not the entire post as they act as a heatsink"thumbsup" biggest thing is just taking your time doing it slowly ensuring full coverage the only downside to this method is if something goes wrong with the esc in the future you cant remove epoxy like you could plasti dip but im not to worried about it

I have just watched a yt videos on the fxr esc
I didnt know its two part electronics lol
I think im just going to ballon that up
And the reciever
Now how about the batteries
Example a nihm or lipo

Im running a 5000mah 2s lipo hardcase in my tf2 with the single speed trans no waterproofing of the battery and i get an average 2.5 hours run time today almost 3hrs with the fxr esc castle 10amp bec integy 45t savox servo i also run a small 1300mah 2s for the winch that fits up on my firewall under the dash.

2.5 hours run time
What battery would i need to get at least 3 hours with the lights on
I plan on taking this rig with me on a walking exersie to the park

I also have the lights on my tf2 so a 5000mah 2s would be getting close depending on your throttle finger

I get 3 hours on a 3000mah 3s lipo and I'm trigger happy. I'd say for you a 5000mah or maybe a 6200 would be sufficient for 3 hours on flat ground probably.

Hows the stock electronics on the tf2 rtr
Anygood?

Lol the stock twister servo went into the wifes cc01 the outcry esc is in my parts bin the radio and receiver are in the cc01 as well the rx/tx does have a usable third channel for a winch with a 3 position sliding switch on the tx

So you are saying the tf2 stock electronics is crap hahahah
Come on man just tell me you honest opinion about the stock electronics so i can replace it with tekin fxr combo

Lol the stock electronics do the job but theres no lipo cutoff on the esc i just chose to upgrade to a good setup and put the stock stuff in the parts bin
