RC4WD's HIGH Shipping Prices ???

In Feb I bought an XR10 kit, Futaba 4pl, set of sedonas, RC4WD gears and some other misc. items from another vender. Shipping was $4.99. Shipping was actually free but because of the size and weight they had to tack on the 5 bucks.

That's more like it!

Yea, I mean if I spent over $700.00 they should really throw in free shipping.
Especially if the parts I ordered weigh less than 2 lbs.!

Its because they hug it and kiss it and tell it a night-night story before they put it in the dark and scary box.

I don't care to pay just a wee bit more than actual shipping costs. It still takes time and man power to process the order, gather the parts up, recheck to make sure things are right, print the label, finish the paperwork, and tape the box shut. Doesn't sound like much, but they still have to pay someone to do it.

Now if it is a ridiculously high amount, that is a different story....
That should go into the price of the parts or put a flat handling charge on it. Don't put a $3 part in an envelope and charge me $8 to ship it 80 miles. Granted things happen but I doubt they are rechecking orders when you get a set of 4 wheels with only 2 in it.

This should be posted in the for sell section for everyone to see. To many people want something for nothing.

Something for nothing? There are way to many websites to get stuff from that charge drastically less shipping charges or even free over like $300 or less. So i think there shipping charges are BS imo. What is this, EBAY? $5 part with $20 shipping. I do the same thing previously posted which is get an idea of what I want from rc4wd and then search for that model number on google until i find it somewhere else with way less shipping. So no, not something for nothing, just expect reasonable shipping charges that are in line with the competition.

There are a lot of places you can buy RC4WD stuff & get free shipping.

RPP over $300 ships free
Phil's over $50 ships free

I won't make up excuses for RC4WD but they have a very unique product, they are a lot smaller opperation than most people think & they have no competition.

I right it off to growing pains. the TF2 kit is a huge improvement over previous kits in regards to instructions, organization, packaging.

A lot of the big RC compainies started out in someones basement. RC4Wd is beyond that but they are not Traxxas yet.

Again, not making up excuses for them. I do think they have gotten a lot better and you will get a lot more customer service and satisfaction from RPP and still get your cool RC4WD goodies that's let face it, no body else makes.

I have tried RPP etc. but they are either out of stock or don't stock the stuff I want, such as driveshafts, diffs, etc, etc.

I will say that RC4WD makes some very unique items for RC trucks and I am so glad they are around. I have had good service from them also. It's just paying $50.00 shipping on a small box that weights less than 2 lbs. that makes me feel abused for wanting their products. Perhaps if they charged a little more for their products and had normal shipping prices no one would feel like they were hit over the head with shipping costs.

I quoted the something for nothing referring to here. Ive posted a few FS ads here and I am always getting low balled.

If you read my previous post I agree rc4wd has crazy shipping prices, and I use the site as reference only

that is how everyone makes hardened steel.. send it to Hawaii!!!! "thumbsup"

Ah... lava... got it!

This example is the post office's mistake, which is still upsetting but not RC4WD's falt.

Very true, but I am still going to be pissed at them until I get my parts

I guess that says something about RC4WD when all we have to bitch about is the price of their shipping. I'd bitch about the price of their parts, but you are getting what you pay for.
