Wow, where have I been. I woke up this morning and logged into my favorite site and I find this crazyness. I felt compelled to read through it because I really respect the community of this site. I did my best to read through most of it and I am not sure what to think. This site is informative and entertaining, and I have never been close to offended. This site reflects the broad community that is rock crawling and I think it is great. I have been insulted and threw out some insults of my own. I have learned too many things to mention and been inspired by the amazing skills of fellow members and laughed till my sides hurt. I cannot for the life of me see much merit in the first post of this thread. Sure things can get a bit out of hand, but why take things so seriously, life is not sanitized. I would guess that a large number of the members here like the way it is. If your moral judgements of right and wrong make the site offensive to you, then you can go your own way. My guess is that you would not be missed. I think RCC does a great job with the site.

:shock: All I can say is WOW! I just read thru this whole thing and wasted an hour of my life...it's my fault I know, but I'm at work so I had time to kill. Everything I read just made me realize...nothing. It was entertaining and I found it funny. I don't think there is a dam thing wrong with this site. As far as the family thing goes, my daughter's 11 and I wouldn't let her get on this site although I think she is old enough to handle it, but I don't alow her to do alot of things on the Net. More mods, yea maybe...Less idiots, drama queens, attention grabbing little bratty teens, YES!

Had to brother, it was just way to serious in here last night. I agree with some of your points about the bs in tech threads.
I also think most of us on this site are Man Boys or we wouldn't be building little electric and gas cars and trucks!

I also think you get a little too serious sometimes, Life is serious in so many ways, why bring it here. I would think most of us here are responsible adults who have to deal with the seriousness of life every freakin day. So when we visit RCC, we like to let loose and have some fun, razz a little, bs a little, talk smack a little, get really stupid with some on-line friends. Because we know we can't do it in our serious daily lives. I would hope your not this serious everyday of your life, stress related heart attack comes to mind. I would hope you could relax and smile with me and not get so uptight about the little stuff that doesn't really effect us in life. I want to have fun on this site and have fun with some new friends, whether their just casual friends I see at comps or whether their people I become good friends with. Life is to darn short to be so serious and uptight all the time.

I think your a good person WC with good morals, but you lack tolerance for others that are different or think different than you do, which is just fine. It doesn't make your views or beliefs wrong or right, just like it doesn't make everyone else's views or beliefs right or wrong, just different.

I also think we all have bad days where things just get on our nerves and we need to vent out. I think you did it yesterday, I've done it before, and many others have done it just the same, like right after your post:lol::lol::lol:

Everybody has vented now, some of us need to get off our high horses and come back down to earth, hopefully that will happen.

The young ones need to stop acting like their old and wise and realize their still wet behind the ears. That is why the veterans here want to put their foots up your collective butts.

I need to go smoke one up and chill because I've gotten off topic.:lol: I hope we can be comp friends, on-line friends, whatever you want to call it. Like I said I think you have a good heart and mean well, just misunderstood, like some others on here, maybe even me.

normally id avoid posting in a thread like this but this kinda struck a nerve. some people REEEEEEEEAAAAAAAALLLLLLYYYYY need to be less sensitive. This forum is a very public forum easily accessed from anywhere and not closed off to anyone and thats what makes it the great forum it is. whether its honest opinion,advice,or a good laugh you can get it here and without spam emails or popups or swearing or adult ads. this place is a universal melting pot with varying opinion and anyone with any sense knows that with this many people theres gonna to be disagreement and a few sarcastic remarks and we generally know where they come from and its never meant as harmful just something to get a chuckle or break up some monotony. i agree that some people need to be set straight punished and even banned and the mods do an extremely good job of catching these people and removing them. And the mods also do an extremely hard and thankless job and do the best they can do. if you see a post you dont like or think its worthless ignore it if your offended report the post and if you really dont like it here leave and go elsewhere. mods keep up the good work and thanks for what you do to keep this the fastest growing and BEST forum on the web no matter what the sensitive types say.

Well when you take the truth thing out of context and compare it to another post talking to someone else, your argument doesn't hold water.

If it was the same subject you would be correct.

I already said that it was someone at a comp and they might have been wrong. I also said I could not get an answer or not if that is the actual claim of RCC.

It amazes me how many of you read what you want and leave the rest.

I can dig it, but the point everyone is missing is I am not trying to sterilize this place. The word poopie DOES NOT OFFEND me. it was the placement of it that everyone missed.

As others have stated, I could have just walked away from the site... Hell I did it before.... But I don't believe you throw something out because the mods are swamped.

This was meant to be a learning experience for everyone. I hope some did.

How can you miss my point about this?
I will say again, our kid is 2, there's many years before it will be an issue.

But that doesn't even matter, thats not anything what I am saying.

All I was saying is I heard from someone and then I am pretty sure there was another person as well that told me it was a family site.

All I was saying is RCC should not claim family, you your self said you would not let your kids here. That mean that you agreed with me.

This is not a family site.

Thats all that there is to that. no more no less.

It blows my mind that everyone is pissed off at me and Jason even agreed and has more mods now.

Its not about sanitizing, its about doing exactly what the mods have been doing previously, just more of it.

How can anyone deny or fight that?

IN MY OPINION, this site would be more "family oriented" than half of the things on TV for cryin out loud.
I told myself I wasn't gonna post cause I thought this was an absurd thread but Wheelchair man, let it go. You keep replying to this thread trying to make us understand your point, but all your doing is beating a dead and decaying horse. Some may see your point and some won't.
I have no problem with you all and frankly admire what you do with this hobby but man just let it go. Mods can't possibly catch every out of place comment in tech threads. Use the report button if you feel it's an inappropriate post. Help them don't criticize them.
