newbie here asking stupid questions…so please forgive me…i actually did do a search but didn't find any answers to my question…so i'll ask here…hope u don't mind me messing up ur nice build thread…

here goes…

what's the major difference between the bully 2 axles…and the original?…i want to build a crawler…and am doing some research…saw on rc4wd all the sales that are going on and want to take advantage of the prices…

is there that much of an advantage to go with the bully 2 axles as far as price per performance gain?…and what other factors should i consider when choosing one or the other?

The bully 2 axles are basically comp ready out of the box as where the originals take some modding to get good steering and lose weight. As far as things to consider, if your planning to comp get the B2's, if your not planning to comp and want to save some money the V1's will probably make you smile.

is weight a big deal?…i was going over some of the other build threads…and i notice that they are really focused on reducing weight…but yet…i see them adding weight to the outer hubs…and i see those spendy slotted weight wheels…

i know these newbie questions probably shouldn't be in this thread but oh well…

i also saw in one of the earlier pics that the tires where rubbing on shock springs….would it behove the rig to move the shock mounting point closer to the center?…and i notice that the shock mounts are pretty set by the axles…would u want to mess with that at all?

i don't mind spending money for products that will add value…i just bought $60 worth of aluminum rod ends that are useless and serves no added strength at all…oh well…lesson learned.

Ideally you want to build the rig as light as possible and then add weight back where its advantageous to the performance of the rig, Low, Wide, and Forward. "thumbsup"
