i know some of you remember my post about last year when i got my new redwing boots, but know im growing out of them, so im asking for you guys that wear them should i get #2270(11 inch steel toe pull on) then #1422(8inch soft toe boot(just like i had but 2 inches taller)) im leaning towards the pull on because it looks pretty cool

You know, I worked at a Redwing boot factory for about a week after high school, worst job I ever had. :???: I don't think that helps you out with your question though.

depends on the work you do. i had a pair of redwin pull ons, most comfortable boot ever for about 2.5yrs... but at the time i was a truck mechanic, working on over the road and dump trucks. now i work on concrete pump trucks, where im often climbing up in the boom and standing one the 5" pipes on the truck that the concrete flows through. i found that a pull on boot didnt support well enough for climbing like that, so i got a pair of 10" logger heel lace up chippewas... great boots, take a long time to break in unlike redwings but none the less theyre great boots.

i showed the pull ons i liked to my dad and i think he was in shock that i would like such i thing, but man they are comfertable, ill use them mainly out in the garage, hunting, fishing, outdoors anywhere, and the pullons just have a good look to them personally, look up the # on their site and check them out for yourself www.redwingshoes.com

Redwings are the most uncomfortable Junk iVe ever worn, there are hundreds of other brand out there that are better for less

For shoes the Red Wing 6618 - Mens - Oxford is pretty comfortable:

redwing boots are awesome!

i have a pair of these:http://www.redwingshoe.com/productdetails.aspx?prodid=1606

best boots i have ever owned.

Those 9 inch steel toe loggers in the natural (reddish) or black are awesome work boots and were very comfortable for me back when. The tall heels make my back hurt now when I wear them for a long time.

But my feet have changed over the years and now I need like a D or slightly wider width....however my feet are kinda thin vertically. So it's hard to find boots that fit well, when they are wide enough not to squish my little toe, they usually allow my foot to lift inside the boot as I walk.

I have a pair of the 8 or 9 inch Irish Setters (looks like they are discontinued) soft toe, vibram sole and shorter heel than the Loggers in an 11D that I've had the small toe area stretched and added a lace in outer tonge guard (leather) to help keep the fit good....helps keep the two sides from coming all the way together when you lace em up good...thereby keeping my foot from lifting inside the boot. Also added a pair of removeable insoles for the same reason. They still have never really broken in and become comfortable...and that sucks! ANy suggestions for boots that fit and are more comfortable?

This is why I love my Teva sandals, except when it's too cold out.

We sell Redwings at our store and they are like any other boot. Some like them some don't. Their Dealer service sucks, they sent letters to all dealers saying basically that their computer system sucked and please be patient while they worked it out. That was over a year ago and it still sucks. They are mostly designed as a work boot, not an outdoorsman type of boot. Rockys are better for that.

I have a pair of the pecos slip on those were some good boots I basically wore them out. But I went back to a lace up, got a pair Ariat those are the best boots I wore to date and there was no break in period ! They also make a slip on ariat But I check them out also.

I wear the same 2270 style boot . I work for the phone co.,lots of walking ,climbing ladders ,working in underground vaults (man holes),and other than trying to get rubber over off ,I love them .And yes they are the most comfortable boots I've ever owned , and they've been resoled twice .

Those are what you need. I Have em and love them. When it gets cold, my feet are still really warm.

You do realize everyones talking about WORK boot right? I've got a pair of those I wear ALL the time, when I'm not working. They are the most comfortable thing to wear while relaxing, hanging around the house or running around town. Surprisingly durable as well. I just got a new pair this winter but my first pair I bought when I was 17.....I'm 35 now.

When it comes to a work boot,Rocky wellingtons are the only option for me. They are honestly the most comfortable boot I've ever worn at work. Every other boot I've tried to wear at work can't take the abuse of masonry work. They'd generally last 6-9 months and they'd be ripped up and the soles are falling off. A pair of Rocky wellingtons will last me 14 months or better. I'm still wearing the boots I bought LAST winter right now.
