i tried the easy off on some traxxas 5 spokes and it took the chrome off but left a yellow coating. i then soaked them in acetone and it took some off but some is still left. anyone run into this problem?

Removing chrome from wheels

i just spray mine with easy off and let it dry.
rinse with hot water and the chrome rinses off with it.

Castrol Super Clean works good . let them set in it for a few mins (full strength) pull them out and wash them off with warm water .

For the Draino Gel just put some into a small bowl, drop the wheel into the gel and let it sit for a few minutes then move on to the next wheel. (rinse the wheels with hot water)
The cool thing with the Draino Gel is that when you're done you can just dump it down the sink.
