"ROCTAPUS"

What rod ends did you use to make your links?

I'm still using the stock rod ends, I need to upgrade. I'm really not sure what I'm going with yet. The "Cheap Tricks" sticky in General Crawlers has a handfull of options in it.

what wheel adapters did you use? I'm thinking of getting the rc4wd ones but they're $40. I can't find any that are cheaper.

The Outback rims I run bolt up to my axles without the need for adapters. Pm Ace on this board the makes sweet adapters for Maxx rims, no matter where you buy they are about the same price. ;-)

Here's a link to Ace's page.

Thanks BENDER, you've been a lot of help......Hey I just relized I finally got rid of my stupid "newbe" label under my name.

No problem MC13. If you bought a star you could call yourself "King of the Rocks" if you wanted too. ;-)

New body and a few more tweaks....

I made a few more tweaks to the chassis to lower the COG even more without lowering the ride height. The combo of that, the new link set-up, new lighter body and Moab's made a quite a difference as far as climbing steep faces. All I got to say is................ playtime is over gentlemen!!

Should I hack this one too?

I'm fighting with every fiber of my being, not to hack this body for Roctapus too.

I think the LC may become a scaler somewhere down the road, but we'll see.

WOW!! Love the new truck body. Is it the F-350 body, I can't tell.

Yup, it's the Pro-Line F350 Excursion for extended WB Maxx. At least it was.

Love the rims!! where can I get a pair of those?

HPI touring car rims. I'm thinking about running them on Roctapus for scale comps.
Plus, they'd look way better then these.

I think I saw THOSE rims somewhere. :) Im blinded by the bling. I like the new body but hate to see the Jeep go. I hacked the stock TXT body for my truck the other day.

Yup, those are some sweet rims. ;-) I feel the same way about the Jeep body, it'll probably make it to an occasional event. I wanted a paint scheme that matched a little better.
