thats what im talking about, im thinking about using a dremel but dont want to screw up the gold plate thats on it

In the center of that gold plate is a hole. If the solder wont melt when you add heat then hold your soldering iron to the old solder on the esc and add some solder to that area, the melt should allow the melting of the old solder. In the likely chance that you don't have a desoldering vacuum, you can use a wick. Basically some very fine braided copper wire, you could find it at Radio Shack or most electronic supply stores. Or you can sometimes use some of scrap wire. What you do is you heat the wick then apply it to the solder joint while holding the soldering iron to the wick just above the soldering joint. The wick will suck up the molten solder. You want it relatively clean, you can poke your soldering iron's tip through the hole to make sure you fully expose the full diameter. Then you snip off the old end of your motor wire, strip a new end and add solder to that, we call that tinning. Then you place the wire end through the hole on the esc, add solder, then let it cool.

There are tons of solder tips on the web. Search around. For someone experienced this is a relatively simple procedure, but if you haven't done something like this before then practice on something worthless first. Over heating a solder joint can cause damage to the esc.

Good luck
