Nothing to amazing and fancy here. Just wanted something that performed well and looked decent. I'll let the pics explain themselves.

These are earlier photos but are the only ones I have of the chassis. Electronics were just thrown in for testing.

Added wideners. Just need a smaller 2S and start doing some body work

It has a TON of flex so I'm going to limit it to about this.

I'm also trying one of the Himark cobalt motors

Hopefully I'll have some 1.55 thrashers for it soon!

Sweet. I just picked up an L-Trail myself to do pretty close to the same thing. Did you have to adjust the links at all for the WB or did it match up just right to the body? I have a HH 454 Puller that I was going to try out with mine...we'll see how long the MRC trans lasts :)

What wideners did you use? Are those the upgrade Losi shocks or something else?

Hmmm, once people start throwing the 1.55's on their scale builds...Jason may have to add a 1.55 section.

I used the holes in the L-trail that gave the furthest WB and it worked out great. No need to mod links. I just squished the upper 3-link until it fit inside the chassis. I'm not a huge fan of the idea but it works.

They are Gmade wideners I think. I got them from Sloppy. They are the upgraded losi shocks with the threaded bodies. The springs are a bit stiff for my liking but I don't have it completely loaded up yet either so we'll see.

Got some RC4WD 1.55s in for it but they didn't fit on the MRC stubs. I had a friend start messing with some hubs that I designed. They seemed to work out almost perfect only the stub wasn't long enough to reach for the offset I built in. I hear RC4WD has an MRC hub coming so maybe I'll just wait.

Looks sick Nick! Those 1.55's are perfect for it. I have a set that I let 1bjb borrow but I am definitely going to use them on my next build. I like what you did with the hardware too.

I'd email the guys at RC4WD on those hubs. They are already sending them out to people. I got my sets last week. "thumbsup"

The problem with the hubs they are sending is I need WAY more offset. Made some progress on my hubs but still not correct.

I didn't get the offset right so the center doesn't tighten down right.

Here's how it's supposed to look

Friends were going out crawling this morning so I went ahead and threw the electronics in the jeep to run it. Fabbed up a quick electronics tray and cut out a cover for the bed from ABS so it didn't look so hideous. It drove really well! I need to get the battery up front and get those new wheels on it though.

Too much flex. Gonna have to limit this!

Big brother LOL

I did see that mod. It looks like the bushing he used in between the hex pin and the knuckle is about 4mm so that means you're getting about .16" more offset per side. The hub I'm making actually increases the width by 11/16" (.6875") on each side to get the track width you see above,

Well finally have some wheels mounted. Thanks Todd at Bartos Chassis for making the wideners!
