Hey everyone.

Seeing all the great garage builds starting lately sparked my interest, so I thought I'd give it a go....and what such fun am I having!!!

Rather than just work towards the finished product, I'm doing a few different stages to cover the "lifecycle" of my garage...before it becomes a car garage.....and will have a little fun with it along the way.

So the space I'm working with is quite small, the diorama itself is only around 850mm x 450mm x 550mm. It's more of a backdrop with just the two walls rather than a full "drive in" garage.

Most of you probably already know Sam.

And here's some items to fill it....

So we pick up the story to find our hero has just finished building his house. It's just hit lock up stage and the garage is being used as a bit of a work area/storage room/rubbish dump!!

More developments to come.

Awesome man! I have to admit though the pic of the grinder before it was made worried me:shock:.

WIP, I get it,lol.

Sam is quite the wood worker, but he needs to clean his $#!t up.:lmao:Looks Great!"thumbsup"

wowzers that is some awesome craft men ship there mate great work...just need's a lcd tv on the wall and sam should tidt up abit to lol

Looking forward to the next installment. No need to tidy up just push all the stuff to the sides, then it'll be like a real garage.

Thanks so much for all your great comments guys, really appreciated.

So what's a garage without a fridge?....................

..........well.......a garage without a fridge!!!

This is a kit and is for dollhouses. I added the LED myself. The wires run out the back and through a hole in the wall to a battery and a switch. I'm not that good to put a switch in the door when it opens!!!

So right now Sam is in the middle of getting more power and lights into the place. I'll keep you posted.

Just...awesome. I found myself browsing dollhouse accessories on eBay whilst looking for some scale stuff the other day! I need some drinks cups / bottles...

So....

Somebody recently learned how to solder....hasn't that opened up a world of possibilities!!!

Here's my take on flourescent lighting.

I figured, why not try shining two LED's into either end of a tube and see how it lights up. I tried a few different things like different kinds of drinking straws and some plastic tubing, but in the end came back to the good old box of styrene as it seems to work the best. i think the result is quite effective.

And the result......

And the old ping pong ball trick for ceiling lights with LED's....

And now the cleanup begins.....well when Sam says clean up, he really means "move stuff around"....and when he says begins, he really means "think about it"!!!!

This should help....

Sam is still working on power outlets....

Small update......

Up until now this place has been running on magical cosmic energy. It's time to hook up to the grid.....

So Sam has finished the clean up....

Almost ready to actually move in to the house. There's been a delay with the tradies doing the floors which has held things up a bit. For now, it's time for Sam to kick back and relax. This weekend he's off to the National Cupcake Bakeoff. Nothin' beats a good Blueberry Swirl!!!

Enjoy!

Here's some shots of the trailer parked in here for now. Sam is planning to build another shed out the back to move it to.

And I think this is probably my favorite shot of the whole build so far......

Thankyou very much.

So while Sam was away for the weekend in Cupcake Bliss City, his good friend Dexter asked if he could use the garage space.

He wasn't too big on the details, but he sure did keep the place clean!.........

(Sorry to those of you who may not be familiar with Dex's work and do not get the joke. Lets just say he had a killer of a time!)
