scale mountain shack

Looks good, very nice work, like the old photos hanging on the inside.. Dog on the porch and your all set. The rocker would be good toooo!

Thanks

Great work man that's going to look sweet on a crawling area!

Thanks, I'm still looking for just the perfect placement near the rock pile, but soon enough hopefully.

so I've let this thing sit for a little while, lost focus around the holidays and such, but got back on the wagon tonight and finished up the chimney and a couple other areas that needed attention.

Still needs a little more stain but you get the idea.

added some foundation posts and built a little staircase

I plan on setting it on a slightly sloped grade hence the shortening posts

Found a good spot for the cabin and spread some pea gravel around the "yard" for some scale realism, the big plants behind it kinda ruin the scene though

A little bit of this would fix that problem.... Tell the Mrs. that it must have been a lightening strike. "thumbsup"

Now I've never been known to turn down an opportunity to play with fire and I have the advantage of still living alone so when I see something green in the way and want it gone, needless to say it goes.

The most recent victim being some enormous oleander that my buddies diesel had its way with:mrgreen:

That being said I do appreciate the work the previous owners of the house put into the landscape and don't want a completely stripped yard but I think I have a fix for blocking out those "Honey I Shrunk The Kids", plants.
