Toyo had that baja truck body on one of his TLT's. I have been looking in building a unlimited calss baja buggy It would be full on custom. Tube chassis, tube a-arms, probably brushless, etc. The only problem, besides cost, is that no one near me would have one, so it could get a little boring.

not to hijack, but here's a Baja Bug i just finished:
the emphasis was on scale looks rather than all-out performance, but with 7 cells and a 19t it moves out allright.

Actually...as far as I know...he's been riding that V-rod through the Norweigan countryside while the weather's nice.

I love the baja bug, now to fit one in around the maxx, nylint and prospective wild willy bodied, vmg axle scale project(running a set of nylint tires for scaleness).

Does anyone know if a clod axle with alum gears would hold up to brushless? What motors do the clod racers run? After sleeping last night I think I might go with a 2wd truck using a clod axle on the rear with independent front. That's only if the clod axle would hold up to brushless. I could stay with 2.2 tires for a more scale look. If I two link the rear for extreme up/down travel I wonder if it would work?? Thoughts, comments, suggestions, and stone throwing welcomed.

People have done a brushless clod before. So i think as long as youre not too mean on it, it should work fine.

If clod axles can handle the abuse we dish out crawling I cannot see them falling apart.braceysdad said:

That is what I have been toying with but for a TLT axled prerunner.

Right now it is still a design as I am going to try and duplicate Fords Twin I Beam Suspension and that is holding things up. I am planning on a tube chassy with integrated bumper so I can build the chassy to suit the suspension.
Well then post tomorrow. That should be plenty of time.
