Scale Rules/Scoring/Judging/Teams discussion

I haven't been doing this very long, and am really curious about one thing. What would be considered a side plate vehicle?

Would something like this be considered a plate chassis?

If so I guess I will need to do some redesigning.

That is a relief to hear. I was about to break out the speed square and hacksaw...which I may do anyway.

Since we are on the topic, im building a ifs wraith using a 4wd nitro buggy and i am either going to cut the buggy chassis and put it between the skid and tranny or attach it under the skid to make the bottom smother. If I put it on the bottom does that become a tub/pan chassis or is it considered a skid still?

Still a skid. As long as it looks scale you should be fine.

Can you not separate the diferential and control arms from the tub and do a bracket to connect it to the Wraith Chassis?

Most wrexo conversions use a skid to connect the front ifs to the wraith chassis. Whether it is the stock exo skid or a custom one. The blue monkey kit comes to mind.

:shock:His tight a$$ ain't going to spend no money on that!!! LOL:lmao::flipoff:

Its not that im tight im just not gonna use the same parts and do it the exact same way as everyone else. Just because i dont run currie axles dont make me cheap....ofcourse tecnicaly you dont either do you lol.

It's been a while since we discussed this, but after looking at many other groups courses I'm thinking aye we should go down to two 10 gate courses. This would make judging simple as well as make the whole comp go smoother. We could keep a decent course length but use boundary a more and only have 10 gates per course.

What do y'all think?

I updated the rules. Please let me know if you guys see any problems

Ok, after reading the rules...is the G6 JK considered class 2 or 3? The rear tires are pretty well exposed.

The inside of the tire just can't be wider than the body at the doors. Many truggys and pinched front ends let the tires hang out. The g6 is class 2 as long as you don't put really wide rims on it that move the inside of the tire outside the door.

Will have to see how wide they get with the OMF's on it. But from the looks of it, Class 1 is gaining some steam. May have to build a C1 or go all out and get a C3 lol.

Right now I don't have any input on the rules. I missed tech on the first event but apparently my truck passed lol!

I also noticed when a few were looking for a winch point, there wasn't a place to winch. If you are going to allow winching off of a judge's foot, the judge needs to be in the same place every time. If you are going to use the foot, it may not be in the best position but figure out how to make it work! If you can't make it work, bust out the pull pal or snatch blocks!

I would say a class 1 it seems like the smaller you get the more challenging it all gets.
