Scramblerish TTC build.

Had a chance to run it this weekend, works really good. Ran an almost perfect 1st run but I ended up breaking my weak link of a plastic driveshaft on the second course. I need to replace the short driveshaft from the trans to the t-case. I will try to get some more pics up later this week.

Plastic drivline failed, I knew it wouldn't last. Ended up making a new one using MIP shafts. I originally cut and welded the MIP shafts and messed them up really bad. Had a lot of runout. Ended up making this.

The driveline ran out so bad that under load it ended up breaking my crossmember motormount. I also used the wrong material, I think it was 2024 and not 6061. The 2024 is too brittle. Made a new one from mild steel.

Little bit of styrene work and have a pinched and bobbed bed section. It covers the rear mounted winch with the battery across the frame rails in front of the winch.

Got some primer on the body.

R2J has been fighting those short driveshafts in his FJ too. Looks like you have a stout one now. The body is looking cool with the dovetail. "thumbsup"
OOps, I guess pinching refers to the front.
Drive shaft should hold up, it's 17-4 stainless, the one I build for Toyos FJ build is 4140 chromoly.

Will be getting started with some tube work soon. Also getting a cutom roof top lightbar and will be using the Cree lights like in Tims Bronco. Will be bright with 4 on the roof and 2 in the grill.

Ahhh, tomato, tomatoe, it all means the same thing. 8)
I like stainless. "thumbsup"

6 of the lights on Tim's Bronc? That will be blinding.....

Not anymore Grizz! This build has inspired me! That and a broken input shaft on my t-case. 7t puller+R2= broken rig.

Great build! Love all the custom machined parts!"thumbsup" I'm going to keep an eye on this one for sure!

Thanks, one of the benefits of my job, getting to make custom parts on my own time. Should have it reassembled in a bit and get some pics on the rocks. Entering it in Warpigs TTC in October.

Big D you gonna have more tube in October? I am out and hoping to pick some up @ the TTC, assuming I get in.
