Scx10 Honcho Short Course build.

What a Day!!!
We (my son and I ) had a blast at the park today. Was a little tricky setting up the stroller so he could watch and yell directions at me but we did it and we both had some oooh's and giggles. My son is not in any of the pictures as I had my hands full already trying to drive and take pictures with an iphone. Also, Those cut boggers, still sling mud and down below you can see a shot of some side hilling that would have definitely been a sliiide-roll last week.

First up was a beautiful spot with a lot of tree cover for shade and a little shelter(misted here and there) and a narrow creek, with a muddy bed. Both the scx and its buddy the wronco got stuck in one spot(due to me having to trek through the mud to get them, I have no pics of that) but otherwise did quite well trekking through water about 3.5 inches deep with a soft mud bed.

Next was a spot I had attempted previously, but with uncut boggers, I had no success what so ever. This time though, a totally different story. The boggers, even with being a taller tire and supporting a heavier rig, held on just as good as my tsl sx's on the lighter and lower cog'd wronco.

Last was a spot that is an active wash out and part of the hiking trail. It has some rock base but is washing out and is pretty muddy when wet. Scx got stuck here due to a poor line choice but the buddy wronco pulled him out with a tow line. The wronco then hit the same spot with a little better line choices and bam, right through.

Hope you enjoy the pics as I will definitely be taking these two out again! Next time there are a few places to crawl some rock ditches and catch some awesome flex shots of both rigs.

Hello all,

Had a good day till the wronco had a drive line issue, it is resolved for the moment. Will now be looking for some good foams to stuff in these tires, I believe that is the only thing holding me back from being able to stick to the lines my tsl's can. Here's a couple pics of todays little trek, both even have my 1:1 rig in the back ground!

Should be headed back out tomorrow for some more wronco testing, will try to grab a few shots then as well.

The body of this truck is being retired. Will be re adjusting the wb to fit new body. A fatal( for my scx anyways) brake check by some douche on the highway cause a shift in cargo and collapsed the cab. To that very special driver, you jumped in front of a truck towing a trailer with a gvw of over 20,000 lbs, you're lucky to be alive.

Just thought I would post this to kind of end this thread/ build.

Gave that body to Baller about 5 years ago. Wonder if I can get it back:ror:

Looks great on there.

If I could go back and do anything. It would be reinforce the cab and mounting holes. Might have saved the body in the long run. PM or post up if you get that body! I would like to see someone else's take!
