Sheldons Hobbies RC Crawling course

what?????? they took out the drift track? So that's why all the drifters are at Fast pace racing around the corner. They had to be kicked out on Friday night because those damn 10th scale vacuum cleaners are too loud for the mini z race.:lmao: They weren't too happy either.
I gotta stop by to check out the new course, I need to update the pics on my thread anyway, I think I still have the original front room course posted. I'll be there Friday night at 6 with my xr10.

I have quote myself from the first page of this thread about volcano island. AJ really should have done something like this:

Anyone drive on it since it was finished?

I'll try and get by there later. Just curious what they used on the tarps. Looks pretty cool but it would've been better to build the base up out of the same kind of framework, but with stucco or a crete mix on top. That would have made all the slopes driveable, and could've and should've been made more detailed topograpghy, versus near vertical mountains with only one way to drive on them.

Like this. Its basically the same under and over and through framework design but it's exterior is like real earth/ rock with nearly 100% open for driving. The theme and colors could have been the same. Just 90% more driving area, and also able to set up a comp. Looks like it can be made better though if AJ has his guy stack some nice rockpiles in there and maybe redo at least one mountain in stucco instead of the tarp.

Here's some pics and a like to thread:

i checked it out yesterday and it was as expected. rock racing track only made tough with some gates. awesome part was that the teeter totter was already broken and closed which is the back third of the track...

oh man... i wish i remembered this one place i went to in japan.. it was an incredbile indoor spot. kinda like concord, but i personally thought it had better overall testing, like sidehill, climbs.

the sheldons guys are to ignant to come up with stuff like this you need a shop ran by crawlers in order to get this kind of support

+1. man, but awhile back, before those mexicans ran sheldons, there were like 2 asian guys who ran sheldons, I personally thought they had some idea of crawling, and built the good course (the first pic of this thread), compared to the stoners who run sheldons now, who "say" they have knowledge, yet lack the intelligence of a rat.

HOWEVER, i do feel sheldons Service lacks kind service to customers, when the workers changed to the mexicans. i remember needing a part for my mini, and they tell me to trash my mini losi, and buy an axial. WHAT EFFIN A-holes. man.. i just walked in that shop with a smile, wanting to crawl. walked out in 2 min with a grumpy face.
