Skaldiddog's "Progress"

Re: Skull Cap

Yup. I dont like changes before a big comp either...

Good luck!!"thumbsup"

Thanks man. Glad I didn't swap before the comp. Now I'll have time to do some tuning pre-nats to see if these reduced Voodoos will consistently out drive my Rovers. I'll definitely bring a less worn set of Rovers to Nats for comparison sake. 90 days of tire break in and testing to go...

Good seeing you again Joel! Way to be a man and inhale that rack of ribs, dinner was a blast. Your gangster rap caught me off guard but was hilarious!

Back at you William. Had a great time. Dinner was too much fun. Yeah, don't play Mix a Lot around me unless you want me to chime in. Rippin' is one of my favorites...I get winded but can keep up"thumbsup". Nose stop bleeding yet? Catch you in Sept. Keep me posted on the gears.

Pooper Matches Holder

Ever drop the kids off at the pool at a friend's place after eating a nice, fat, juicy burger? What to do with that lovely aroma in their bathroom? Light a match or two. After being ripped on repeatedly by Bryce and Jake over my pooper-closet matches holder and their suggestion to post it, I finally remembered to take a pic. Its milled from a block of 6061 (yes I know, substandard crap, I'm gay, get a life, blahblahblah...) with the abrasive strip from the side of the box pressed between the lid and base. It's heavy but allows for one-handed match striking as you're reaching for the vent fan switch with the other. Overkill but it works. I've had several folks come walking into the den with it holding it in their hand saying " what the hell is this?". Now you know.

Am I the only one who thinks the combo of dook and sulfur smell much worse the dook itself? I feel the same way about air fresheners, they just make it worse. I prefer the natty aroma. I shee thish thread taking a turn for the worsht, Joel please post another sweet machined something asap.

I agree totally on the air fresheners. They make it so much worse...fruit poops are the worst. But, matches (wooden ones only) just seem to make it all go away. Especially when the in-laws visit. Now since you were so traumatized by the smell of my previous post I'll share something with you that's just plain cool and convenient that I don't think I've posted before...micro crawler lug wrench and 2mm driver combo from a Craftsman breaker bar. My old 1/4" hacked down socket driver is on the left for comparison. Not beautiful, but my go to tool and it smells good too"thumbsup". Hopefully this soothes the pain a little;-).

That is too fancy, now you're just tooting your own horn. You're gonna have to back it down a notch.

Dirty Hairy paper weights?

Scx10 shock body cigarette lighter? no that's too fancy...

What about a chassis side plate that's been re-purposed into a comb?

Great actually. I'm going to reverse them tonight and wear the pins a little on the back side and see how that impacts traction/handling. I'll make another set of silvers this week in case I over-shoot the sweet spot on these. I want a comp set as an option. It only takes 15-20 packs to break them in which is nice but there is no way they'll last a year like a rover. This will be a pricey option to run year round but the rubber compound (silver) is great. Don't change it!!!"thumbsup" They handle a lot more technically than my rovers due to the stiffer foam which makes for more precise driving and less tire roll. Overall width at the axle has not changed at all which is nice. Still running the same hubs and wheels as always. The added tire width is shifted inwards with my setup so all gain in this respect. They bounce (landings) the same if not a little less than my rovers and don't hop while spinning for traction near as much as a rover. They take more patience to hunt for grip sometimes vs the instant poppy-grab of a rover but the process is more predictable allowing for more control once grip is had. The thin sidewalls do "drag slick" a little but the tread beds stay perfectly flat and round so it doesn't impact traction. All in all I still have some work to do but I'm very impressed with what they can do.

Help a blind man see.

Hey y'all,

Again please pardon my one pic per post but frickin'frackin' RCC won't let me upload more than one pic per post. Again, any help with this bug would be greatly appreciated.

Cranked out a couple of practice shells 'cause the old ones are toast. I lost the masks for one and shot the windows too. Kinda cool.

Next slide please....
