Hi guys,

Got a Dlux Sway bar and went with the mid chassis mount,

I see a lot using the rear bumper mount, are there any pros and cons to either mounting location?

Or is it mainly a cosmetic difference?

Thanks!

I have the dlux universal mounted in the rear, on the softest setting. Still has a lot of articulation, but the twisting on launch is 95% gone. Only on 2s with a 3300kv though.

I got the soft and medium.

Running UD gears front and rear, Tekin Roc412 2300kv on 3s.

Haven't tried it with the sway bar yet but I'm guessing most of the torque twist will be gone.

Just wondering why people mount them rear or middle really.

It looks like if it's rear mounted you can't use dual shocks.

Personal preference. The dlux will work in both but the vp has to be modified to fit in rear, so people just run it under fuel cell.

Not trying to hijack your thread but with the vanquish sway bar it seems like the rear has little to no articulation at all. Am I the only one experiencing this

Pictures Help...

Mine's a DLUX Universal Kit, Had to use a piece of titanium tig wire & cut a tad bit longer rod. Fuel tubing as a bushing to shim the ends to fit the chassis.

Mine is similar. When I bought it, the LHS told me I could "sand" it down to adjust the stiffness. I need to call vanquish this week to see what they say. Will post my results. If the Dlux torsion spring would fit the vanquish setup, I would buy a couple.

I mean I love the looks of the Currie swaybar but not a fan of losing the articulation of the rear
I feel ya. I have one on my 1:1 buggy and got "enticed" by having the same thing on the bomber. Looks sexy too.

EDIT: VP response to me asking if it can be tuned by grinding the diameter down....

Sorry not other option at this time, you can try to make the diameter smaller but will void warranty.
Thanks

I asked if I can just buy the spring if I mess it up trying. No answer yet.

Ive cycled mine a ton and it definitely loosened up, but you realize thats the point of a sway bar. You could try the uc fab bars or find some smaller music wire.

Stock vp rod is 0.109" or 2.77mm. I think uc fab has a 0.093" but just don't know the length of his. Vp is 4.358" or 110.71mm long.
