Szczerba's #3744 Jeepspeed Cherokee

looking good!!! makes me want to start another Cherokee.

Get it going!

F-me man them Duuuuuuuude wheels are outstanding"thumbsup"

Yep, he had made another 12 spoke set before but they were black delrin. I wanted the same design but wanted a gray or silver color. Dug around the internet and found the gray acteal.

Yeah man those wheels are sweet awesome start...

Thanks, duuuuuuuude did all the work, I just mailed him the acteal and bolted them all together. :ror:

I have stalled on this build but for good reason. Stay tuned. "thumbsup"

Picture for new page

I'm really liking this build, that chassis would take care of some of the issues I have with my FJ45.

Thanks, am bolting together some sweet RCC vendor parts right now.

Cory at TSS has made a few refinements to the original chassis you see above.

Lowered skid .07"
Shortened rear .02"
Enlarged peg holes
Added front and rear shock tower brace holes

man those wheels are sick. kind of a mix of VP methods, and wagoner wheels. so sweet.
tell me about the color? are they delrin or alum?

They remind me of these color matched double standards on the Raptor...

Yep, Duuuuuuuude made some black ones, a couple down on first post. But I wanted gray to see how they looked. The material is Gray "Medical Grade" Acetal. Other colors are available, see Duuuuuuuude's thread below. Aluminum was going to be too hard to machine or I would have gone that route.

Bingo, hadn't seen those but they are slick and almost carbon copies. "thumbsup" I had silver SLW bolts but they didn't look good, so I went with the blacks, I may still get some acorn SLW bolts if they make em in black.

You planning on this going into 1.9 trail or comp? Which would then put it in what scale category? Street or Trail?

If you are talking about SORCCA classes, I would think it fits Class 2 but I haven't spec'd it out yet. Not really building it for a comp scale rig. Wanting to run on the trail or the U4 track.

Do you mind posting a side view pic of the rig with the suspension at full compression? Even better with the wheels off on the foreground side.

Good enough?
