T I N Y Builds A TRX-4M F-150...

I mean... if you know that you don't want to hassle with listing/ shipping it and assuming it wouldn't bring much money to do so, I might use it in the way that you're describing. If there's a chance that you might be able to get some kind of decent return and that you'd actually list and sell then I'd scrap the idea of using it. Also relative to this would be "What other vehicle do you have that you could fit onto that trailer?" If you don't have anything else that appeals to you or if you'd have to spend money on something then maybe just go with your idea.

On e thing that may be worth considering also, is how you plan on securing this ( or whatever other vehicle) to the trailer... assuming that you plan to actually use the trailer and that it's not simply going to be a static display. Some vehicles/ trailers are easier to work with than others regarding securing/ tying down and also how easily it will be to remove.

I recently built a 1/10 trailer that is to accommodate a TF2 as well as a Capra and there was a good deal of thought that went into being able to have it hold two very different vehicles as well as how easily they would be to swap out. In your case I'd guess that's not as much of an issue since the car isn't RC but just food for thought.
Yeah, FeeBay is a hassle. I do have other vehicles I could use, but this one is just cool...lol To secure it, I would use
D-rings and true-to-scale chains. I'd mount a winch and everything. And yes, I plan on using the trailer at shows and get-togethers as that "Lil extra" flash for scale points.

I received the 1.3 mm hexes today. So, I put the wheels together without the rings and mounted the tires just to see truck with all the wheels and tires on it. It looks awesome IMO.

The Interior came in from ShrinkRC. It looks pretty good. I sanded the steering wheel a bit so it wasn't as rough, but forgot to get an after pic. But you can see it through the window.

The wheel, "Ring/Weights," arrived. These work with the Traxxas tires with the thick beads. They add some great weight down low. I put them on the scale versus the rings that came with the wheels. Huge difference. On the scale, the rings that came with the wheels are 4.4g. The other rings are 35g. The total of the old 17.4g and the new 140g. Tires, wheels, and rings total 8.64 Oz. That's a half pound of unsprung weight way down low.

The wheel, Center cap, Lug nuts, and shocks are here. Didn't take a pic of the shocks on the chassis by themselves. But you can see them peaking out of the wheel well. These center caps are cool IMO. They look a lot better than the stock lock nuts.

So, the ShrinkRC interior doesn't come with any type of gear shifter. But now mine has one. It's not painted yet but when it's done the "T" handle will be silver and the knob on the 4x4 shifter will be silver. And all thanks to a pair of broken headphones...LOL, but I'm looking for a better shifter, one that looks realistic. Not just thrown together like mine.

They dried, and then I threw on a dab of paint. Painted the gear shift knobs, the radio knobs, wiper, and head light knobs. I'll add more detail later on down the road.

Idk, just one guys opinion but I'd keep both. They look good and legit enough. To me there's something really cool about taking some old part ( completely unrelated to RC) and modifying it to suit a purpose in the innovative scale-building world. Many times I look back at things I've built or modified or fabricated and smiled due to the creativity. Also cool to make stuff rather than buy.

Thanks, man.
Oh, you should see my ClodBuster build I did. (Which I'm also working on. I'll be doing a write-up on it soon.) Breakline and all-thread links, cutting board spacers/platforms for the battery tray and ESC tray between the chassis sides. Which are from a wheely king...LOL I know all about using stuff for what it's not intended for... It's one of the funnest ways to build custom RC parts. They don't make it? Then build it yourself...(y)

Since the body was off, I decided to get a pic of the shocks installed. I ordered the wrong size. These were 56mm. They should be 51mm. So I got some new ones on the way, but until then, I internally limited these with ball ends. It makes them a perfect 51mm. I reused the stock springs.

Here's the link to the rebuild of my Clod if you're interested.

And yet another new set of shocks...lol. These are 51mm stock, with no internal limiting, unlike the last ones. Plus, the new ones are adjustable on the spring rate...
