I just read through this hole thread, and wow. Your are wicked handy with the camera.

And you built a pretty sweet Ford. Looks sick on the Rockers.

I have the 8 slot Motoworx 1.9 wheels, and even being a different design they are also exactly 4oz a piece.

Any pics with the raptor body? and what wheelbase is your version?

Thanks meatmonkey:thumbup:
The raptor sits at 13.3 in. All I have to do is swap out the rear links and move the rear velcro mount to the rear position.
Pics are from the last storm we had (named it stormtrooper haha)

lol... nice name for a truck.. hows it working with the long WB?
Ya know i think it make a pretty big diffrence stability wise on the up and down hills...feels more stuck to the ground, as opposed to a standard WB scx10. The longer WB also utilizes the sliders a lot more than normal
Making the jump from unweighted plastic wheels to the aluminum wheels added stability over all as well

I do like the setup a lot and i think driving my bros 2 door JK feels weird, cause im not used to the shorty WB:lmao:

its good to see someone else who likes the f-250 body. I have one that i painted charcoal grey with some flames i airbrushed. your rig looks real sweet man. I am making a drop down bed for mine. its been so long since Ive been on a trail or anything and looking at your pics makes me want to get mine done and get out there. it just seems like every time i try to work on it i have someone who has something for me to fix or wire up or mount this or that. it sux being a mechanic and everyone knows it. well keep up the great pics and the trailing. hopefully one day soon i will get my done and get some pics going.

Thanks man. I like your rig as well. The paint looks sweet and is way better than i could do. The drop bed is nice as well:thumbup:

It takes some work but its become a very reliable rig over the last year and can still take whatever i can throw at it:beer:

Im gettin parts today for a rear leaf spring conversion to better replicate a full size F250. Im interested to see where it ends up.

I'm going the same route with the creeper drivetrain and scx chassis. Did you need new driveshafts or did the stock ones fit fine?

Those are TRX#1951 half shafts correct? I have some spares of those.I would just need the metal yokes correct?
correct. For this body though you will need to make an extended length drive shaft for the rear. I have a pic in this tread

I'll be running a Tamiya FJ40 body so I'm hoping they will be long enough. Do you have a shot of the under side of your setup since you've finished?

This is funny. I too am looking to crossbreed my Creeper sans tranny, tranny mount, and stock chassis. Mine currently sits at 13.75 inches and my first question was going to be about the wheel base which was already answered. My toddler helped me pick a body which happened to be the F250. Our friend Steve has a 1:1 grey f250 and our Johnny loved it. They recently moved so I figured on building one for us to tinker with. Thanks for laying a ton of ground work for us. Looking forward to more of your awesome pics and getting started on our own Croncho. (Our Venom tranny currently sounds like a huge bumble bee bouncing off the ground as it drives)

I'm a big BIG ford fan, and love the superduty, but the raptor body looks really nice on there. "thumbsup"

Got a few parts in today; TF2 bumper/slider take offs and a set of hi lift leaf springs.

The TF2 sliders dont fit with out drilling holes in the frame (no biggie) but that front bumper i thought was gonna be to wide fit the Cherokee body perfectly.

For the longest time i had been running 4 link setup in the rear and always wanted to run leafs, just like the real XJs. This is my first experience with them so it will take some time to set up right. I used bike chain shackles but the pin on one of them was too short to go through the eyelett so i kinda had to improve with some 3mm hardware
