The start of my new Rig.

How'd the body hold up at the seams? Looks like one popped loose? Where'd you get the bumper from? The truck looks great!

Up untill the last 15mins good, i took a good flip backwards and tumbled a good 15ft and the bed seam broke but it wasn't held as well as the others.

Bumper is from a summit

How are you holding the seams together? Just CA glue?

On my last body the Hilux i just used CA. On then Ford i tried something different.

CA, works decent to get the joint in place, then i backed the joint with styrene, and use some Plastruct- Plastic Weld.

The part ob the bed just had a small piece of styrene behind it. The rest of it all had the whole joint top to bottom backed.

Then used some green putty, and sanded it all down.

You truck is sweet. Have to love hard bodies, being able just to sand and repaint is nice.
Few questions if you dont mind.
After using putty do you prime then paint?
What sand paper do you use? I can't seem to get the scratches out, even after I sand then putty then sand again then prime with black to help show flaws but I always seem to end up with new areas that you can see sanding marks. Could it be just from the black?

Thanks, I filled with the putty, then tossed down some primer, then i tossed on some black semi gloss paint so i could see all my imperfections. Lil overkill but you can see everything, then i sanded out the shitty looking areas, until it looks like above. I used 150 grit last night to get the bad spots out, them 300-400 on the rest, and finish it up with a wet 800 grit sand. Re-primer and paint and all good. Painted it with automotive touch up rattle can.

So got bored and decided to rock the new soft cab and roof rack, so i tossed on some 2 tone paint this time around, we'll see how long until its time to redo again:mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen: Figured im just going to Sratch the shit out of it so i didnt take as much time sanding or painting this go around.
