Well, mostly anyway. Long story short, I'm incredibly busy with work, and other day to day life anymore. I've been into RC for over 20 years and built / bought about 7 rigs last year alone. I also raced locally last year, and was super pumped to have a local track. The track is all new this year, bigger, faster and includes some natural elevation change. I haven't been one time this year.
Since getting back into bicycling, that's all I do on my free time pretty much when I'm not hanging out with friends or family. Part of that is I know it's really good for me, but part of it is that I'm really competitive and can't stand getting dropped from the group so I try and ride a lot to improve my fitness to keep up. My buddy having a massive heart attack and a quad bypass at only four years older than me helps keep me motivated also. And I enjoy seeing the scenery from in a way that I've never seen it before, and enjoy the quiet of it compared to the motorcycle to be honest.
It's also been another wet summer here, which limits outdoor activities so I have to pick and choose whenever I get a decent weather window. Hell, I've barely ridden the moto this year at all, and that's very ODD for me.
I think I've just reached an age where my interests are changing. I haven't touched an RC with the exception of the helis in months. And that was only becuase a friend is getting into it and I'm helping him along.
Thoughts? Opinons? I'm not going to do anything rash and sell off everything only to regret it in a few months, just something I've been thinking about. I'll keep a couple rigs; prolly one scaler, the MERV, and a couple of my favorite helis / quads and that would be it. I just haven't had the urge to run or work on (the Wraith has been down for months now) an RC in months now, not sure why, I just don't.
