tire glue question! Help me!

:roll:I got a new set of blue claws and now i have been trying to get the stock tires off the rims. Problem is, The factory glue is really really on there and i am just tearing the tires off and still part of the darn tire is still on the rim...its getting old fast.. DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A WAY TO MAKE THIS JOB EASY?

I've had the stockers off and on again 3 times. So far so good. All i do is put a little tension on the tire, pluuing it away from the rim and slide a exacto blade along the rim as close as i can get it. leaves a little rubber behind but not to bad. maybe theres a better way but it works for me

Boil them in water for 10 minutes.

Let cool and they should pop right off.

so if i boil them for 10 min....this wont like melt the wheel? sounds like a silly question but i dont know....

one good idea DONT USE A HEAT BLOWER i did it and partially melted a hex had to reheat and mould around a 12mm hex bolt thank god i had one

I did both the boiling and cutting technique. Be careful boiling the tire. I noticed the tire compound really becomes soft. If you boil, grab any part of the rim, not the tire. I used a pair of tongs to remove the wheel and noticed the tongs were damaging the tire from grasping.

Should have added that I did the "Drink a lot of beer" way of getting the tires off. Lets just say that the stock tires are not usable, lol. But they came off!

What? You couldn't get them off without ruining the tires? Woo hoo!! I did something Doc didn't do!!
I managed to get the stock ones off, clean the wheel, add weight, put in the PVC bead lock mod, and get the stock tires back on. When I was taking it off, I was pulling on the tire to stretch a little, then go a little at a time and cut them off, which of course did leave some glue and a tiny bit of rubber behind, but nothing that time and X-acto blades couldn't fix.
