Hey im running 7.2v and am wondering if i should run dual titans, or dual "xspeed" motros ( 27t). Thanks. what are the specs on the titans ? Why are they different (14v) like waht makes them different than a regular motor ?

I can try to help, the titans will be a bit more power and rpm. They are now 21 turns and 0 timing I think. The gage of wire and number of turns and size (length) of armature determine the voltage.

I run Titans at a absolute max voltage of 20 and the x-speeds at an absilute max of 25

Dont know the specs on the titans, but i know they suck on 6 cells. If you are going to run a 6 cell pack, stick with the 27t motors. I have never heard of an x speed motor, but sounds like a stock silver can.

An x speed motors an upgrade motor from trinity.

I should make my post more clear, when I said x-speed I was talking about the Kyosho 550 motor that comes in the twinstorm 800 and the twin force.

Me and my son both are currently running the X Speed motors in our Twin crawlers. We're just running 1 motor/battery. They seem to do real well with our gearing set up... 18T pinion,72T spur,3.8 geared GD600. Probly one of the better set up's I've ran personally for me.

No,I think they might have some purple writing on them, but the can is kinda dark brown. They are just the stockers out of our Twin Force kits.

yah differnet motor than. This is called a trinity x-speed explicit speed

Oh, O.K. These clearly say "X SPEED" on them ...but they are stock motors for the Kyosho Twin Force. I believe they are 27 turn,if your Trinity motors are also 27 turn,I'd expect simular results as I've seen. With the right gearing I feel they give great results. Pretty good torque/power levels and roughly 45 minutes run time on 6 GP 3600 cells.

Hmm yah. Well, im getting lathe motors tonight from a local hobby shop. They will be the best anyways, give double the run times too. How long do you thing my 3000 MAH 6 cell will last, running a super rooster with 2 55t lathe motors and 4ws (regular and 1/4 scale servo). Right now its only like 15 minutes and its starting to ruffle my feathers.

I have run both of those motors. Both are 550s. The X-Speeds seemed to have a little more punch than the Titans. I think they are pretty much equal though.

Lathe's aren't always better. I'm getting 45 minutes with these 27T motors. I was getting about 50 to 55 minutes running my handwound 55T and 65T motors. I gave up 5-10 minutes of runtime but gained wheelspeed that helps alot in many areas. I'm currently running 1 GP3300 6 cell pack and a RX pack going through a Super Rooster powering 1 27T motors and 1 1/4 scale servo. These 1/4 scales SUCK!!!!!!!!!. I just bought 4 Airtronics 359's(Yes,I just spent nearly $500 on 4 servo's) and am fixen to rebuild my truck completely.

I just rebuilt my sons truck and swapped out the 1/4 scale for 2 of the 359's. That might have helped runtime even better(maybe a minute or two),even if it didn't gain runtime the performance gain was worth it's weight in gold. My truck was tore down after todays runs and in a few days I'll have a new and better rig.

As far as runtime is concerned though....what charger you running? Your charger can play into your runtime just as much,if not more, than your trucks equipment.
