I pre-ordered the Traxxas 1969 K5 Blazer body nearly two months ago. After what seemed like an exceptionaly long wait, it finally arrived. It is a drop on replacement for the 79 Blazer body. I like the profile of the wheel wells much better on this body. Like the Bronco and Blazer bodies the detail on this body is very high and it is LED ready. The only thing that needs to be done to install headlights is to drill a 5mm hole in the backing plate. My only gripe is that for some reason they failed to chrome plate the taillights.

Nice! I may get this for my Bronco. It’s very weird they didn’t do the taillight chrome pieces like the other 2 bodies. I absolutely LOVE the big CHEVROLET on the back aswell[emoji106]

I'm thinkin I prefer this body over the 79 K5 body. None of that chrome molding tape to come off and look like crap lol

What are those bumpers you have? Sharp clean lines.

Sweet, thanks for posting up some pics.. I was wondering when this would finally turn up. Seems they have been teasing it for a very long time.

I would make sense they will offer an unpainted option at some point. I'm kinda curious if they will sell it in an RTR form at some point.

Just pulled up the parts list for the 79 Blazer and it lists the 72 body with a clear unpainted version with grille, mirrors, trim, door handles, decals and masks. Part number is 9111. Also list the 69 with 9112 part number with same included parts. Now to just wait for their release.

Well there you go. I may pickup a clear body to do a custom paint on because I really like the way this body fits. I will be ordering a set of the 9119 tail lights since my tail lights are not chromed for some reason. It's interesting that the taillights on the 72 are chrome pn 9119, but the ones on the 69 are black pn 9122. I wonder why they did that.
