Traxxas Rock Crawler

on a consumer base i think Traxxas hit the nail on the head. Granted, it is not what the hard core rock crawler is looking for but the upgrades and inovations on the platform are awsome, and hope that some of it "bleeds" through to our side of the pond. Traxxas has always been know for making fun trucks to drive or bash around with.. this will allow the average crawler to bash around and do some light duty wheeling while they are at it. I dig the 16.4 volt water proof esc, the 775 brushed motor, 70:1 low gear, crazy fast high gear, lockable diffs! Come on, who wouldnt love that?

I spoke with Traxxas about an hour ago. They are revealing an additional two vehicles tomorrow, at least one of which is electric. That's all I could get out of him . I don't think it will be a comp crawler.

I'm diggin' the Summit. It's certainly not a comp crawler, but it still looks like a fun waterproof snow toy.

I am disappointed that its not a true crawler but, I have to admit that I would buy one as a basher but, I am liking those minis (other thread) my trip to I hobby is going to be expensive... any requests for spy photos??

How about measurements of the 1/16th E-Revo and/or a picture of one next to a 1/8 E-Revo for perspective?

Looks about the size of a 2.2 class crawler from just looking at it on the stand. Would be a fun size to play with for sure! "thumbsup"

For serious crawling that is a joke but, I think the lockable diffs can work for a RC Prerunner or a scale truck.

For serious crawling that is a joke ...

What is the point of a lockable diff when crawling? Are you going to leave the diffs open then lock them AFTER failing an obstacle?

IMHO Traxxas is wasting this "innovation" by putting it on a IFS truck. They should try and corner the scale/basher market with a SA truck that can benefit from it.

It doesn't matter anyway I'll probably end up with one.

They're really milking the revo for what it's worth, even worse than the maxx series. I'll be looking out for the Strevo, with foam tyres and close ratio 2-speed.

Not a true crawler but looks like like a blast to drive. It would be sweet to have a course to race on a little bit, then have a part where everyone stops to lock the diffs, change the gear ratio, and crawl to the top of some rocks and then the track starts all over again.

I would like to see a solid axle shafty from traxxas, but axial already has dominated that market. way to think outside the box traxxas, can't wait to drive one
