Traxxas TRX-4 KIT Bronco

ive got a truck in my hands that ive been trying to push to a certain company to bring back their axles but into a scale side.. lol.
Tyco? :lmao:

The more I see this body the more I freaking love it! "thumbsup"

The Traxxas 2.2 tires are roughly 4.6" tall, correct? If so large 1.9s should fit this body perfectly.

The 2.2s are 5.3 inches tall, you can read it on the sidewall.

Curious as to pricing for the wheels and tires when released, might be an inexpensive update for other vehicles RTR replacements...

Anyone know the wheelbase on the Bronco Body Kit?
I don't think that info is available yet. I would say stock length, but the "lift kit" includes longer links. Is that just to gain life while maintaining the stock wheelbase or is it to increase the wheelbase? That's my question.

Not familiar with the Traxxas chassis rails. Can you change the wheelbase on them like the Vaterra's does? Doesn't look like it in the photo.
I hope they don't resize the Bronco body to a D110 wheelbase - would be huuuuge

Wheelbase can always be changed by changing the size of the suspension links.

I think that I read somewhere that the lift kit... (aside from enabling the 2.2 wheel/tire combo), is to keep the same wheelbase and eliminate any issues with the changes in the new geometry.

Also up on the list is a trick long arm lift kit that allows you to give your TRX4 that lifted look that everyone loves. The kit will include long-arm links, longer aluminum shocks, taller springs, extended driveshafts, and you also get a revised front servo mount to maintain proper steering geometry.

i would take a huge guess that its the same wheelbase as the bigfoot #1 body. why? the grill. instead of developing a whole new one, all they did was put a new insert and make a new stock bumper. i bet they are interchangeable and therefor the same size.

I highly doubt that. Stampede bodies are short. The wheelbase is 10.63" on those.

The TRX4 rear shock mounts can be relocated to accommodate 4 different wheelbases 300, 312, 324 and 336mm with corresponding length rear links. Stock wheel base on the TRX4 is 12.75", 324mm.

I'm actually more interested in the wheels and tires than the kit. because who doesn't love wheels. especially cheap wheels. those tires don't look too bad either, it's hard to grip less than S30 compound. I'd totally run them on my bomber.
