Traxxas TRX-4 KIT Bronco

WTF are you talking about? ITS MAKING THE OTHER TRUCKS CHEAPER. Axial dropped the price on the RTR XJ $20 and the new JK is $409. It probably would have been more had the TRX-4 not been out.

Lets see...I'm at the hobby shop and I can get a truck with portal axles, aluminum links, quality shocks and rod ends, a two speed, and unlocking diffs for $420, or I can get an SCX10.2 with ugly thin steel links, leaky plastic shocks, and LEDs for $410. HMMMM.... Which one is the better deal?

Don't get me wrong, I like my 10.2s, but dollar for dollar you get more with the TRX-4.

Not to mention that the traxxas radio system is much better and the truck is much more durable.

There is no doubt that traxxas is getting many more people intrested in the rc crawler hobby, witch is good for us all...

I love my 10.2 and prefer it over my trx4, however i have about $1000 into the damn axial. Truth be told not much axial left. I have about 2-300 into the traxxas. All stuff i wanted, not needed...

If Traxxas really wants to get people onboard with the TRX-4 they need to add another version with a Chevy/GMC body!;-) "thumbsup"

Any guesses what brand pickup I drive?:ror:

That Bronco is bad ass. MUCH better than the other bodies. That's the body Traxxas should have slapped on this bad boy from the beginning. No idea why a Texas based company would start off shipping these with some ugly Land Rover crap when there are good 'Murican trucks that need to be replicated.

Logic...... introduced in Nuremberg , that’s a loooong road trip from Texas . This Traxxas seems to be a worldwide operation, making profits in “Murican” dollars

Hang up and Drive

I'm starting to wonder if the TRX4 kit isn't coming? I like my rtr from a mechanical standpoint, but all the electronics, except the motor, have been problamatic. Please don't make me by a slider off on eBay to take the rest of the way apart to satisfy the urge.

Who gives a crap where it was introduced? That's like saying you have to dress up like a samurai if you're meeting a blind date at a Japanese steakhouse.

Local DFW hobby shops already have the Broncos in stock.

The kit has a new slotted plate up in front of the steering servo.

You can do that yourself.

So not a single upgrade in the kit over the RTR...

Might as well buy the bronco and be done with it.

What do you think they should have upgraded?

I think they should have left the electronics out of it. That would have been more appealing to a wider audience as well as dropped the price even more.

Usually kits include something better or sturdier.
Maybe beadlocks or metal parts?

Or as you said, pull out the electronics and lower the price.
Most people will go brushless or hobbywing 1080 anyway.
