True Crawler scale bead locks

Well since I'm already begging for the "proper" scale tires I might as well beg for wheels too. Especially after I'm finding out that the wheels I have on order may not even be what I want since the design was apparently changed at some point.
I would LOVE some scale bead locks that resemble a true 1:1 or at least something that you would see out wheeling. Would really like to buy American made. Don't have anything against Rc4wd as I own there wheels cuz they are the only wheels that meet this criteria, but would like the quality of a VP wheel or such with the right style. No more mall crawler wheels.
Higher quality Walker Evans wheels
Trail gear Creeper locks
Stazworks
Plain steel wheels with bead lock rings(basically the stamped wheels from Rc4wd but put rings on em)
Hopefully someone is already working on something. Might just have to make my own like I am with the axles.
Thanks

Check these out!

This is a set of Locked Up Rc's 1.9" Iconic's in the new SS package with their Agile rings which should be available very soon.

Those are very nice but did you add the scale lugs yourself. Didn't see them in the pic on his site. Nothing I can't handle but my time is very limited these days. Very nice.

The scale lugs in the first two pictures are part of the SS package that should be available on his site within the next couple of weeks. The set I posted here were the prototypes that I have been testing for a little while and actually just posted for the first time yesterday.

These are my favorite GripFab wheels:

"Hoopty Pro's"

Or, if you see anything else in my photo album that catches your eye, let me know. I have a small batch of wheels already made that will become available in the next few weeks and then, that's it for these 2.2 beadlocks. I'm moving on to other things!

I'm a wheeler 1:1 and want my rc stuff as close to it as possible. Have a set of mayhem monsters ordered, have the Rc4wd predators(walker evans), and just bought a set of the new TSS wheels that are limited release.

I'm still working on getting them up on the site, but the SS wheels & hardware will be available VERY shortly.

Those are nice too but you guys aren't getting it. Real crawlers run bead locks. We need bead lock rings with screws. Not that you won't sell the crap out of em cuz you will like you always do. The best looking wheels out there are the plastic 1.9 axial wheels with MThead rings. You guys, VP with the quality of your work, should be making the right version of the Walker Evans wheels, Robby Gordon wheels, the Trail Gear CreeperLocks, and the Stazworks wheels.
You are making the scale brake systems. Step up the wheel game. PLEASE!!!
I would love to own a set of VP wheels. Use all your stuff on my custom built axles, just need the right shoes.
Thanks

You seem to get it. Simple but scale. Would see them on the trail any given weekend. Hell I even owned a set of custom Avalanche Engineering Trail Ready bead locks on one of my 1:1. The other looks like the MT classic II with functional bead locks.
Send me a pm when the SS are ready.

Actually it is a bead lock, and it is a proto for our new base of rim. We will be making scale version of some very popular brands. And we are getting the actual official nod to make them from the original manufacturer.

I understand, you want to see a bead on front. this is just for proving out the new bead style.

I'm very aware that it is a bead lock. They have to have a bead lock ring on the outside to be a SCALE CRAWLER wheel. Hopefullly that makes it into the final design of all your scale wheels. Just flip the current design. Run the full width on the inside and the ring on the outer. Would even give more knuckle clearance on the inside. Plus, very few 1:1 bead locks run an inner bead lock so that would be even more scale. Small hardware on the rings. Nothing bigger than 2-56. No less than 12 screws.
I have owned all the top produced 1:1 beadlocks and even built my own.
I have modified every brand of wheels sold to the Rc crawler community. Know how everyone manufactures their wheels and who has the highest quality. Even made limited edition wheels for a few people that couldn't buy what they wanted. My time is unfortunately very limited so I can't make my own wheels anymore. Have several blanks and even some 115 mm super beadlocks that I haven't had time to finish.
Not just another average guy begging
Thanks

Its sounds like only you know what you want. Your not just another guy begging.. Your a guy that knows what we wants, Is capable of making what he wants but, wants somebody else to do it. I don't think anyone is going to drop what they're doing. Come on man! I've seen some of your work. WOW us with some of these super scale beadlock wheels you speak of! "thumbsup"

I just don't have the time and my machine shop is not setup for doing the smaller stuff. It's hard enough doing the custom axle housings. I have to rig stuff just to clamp on stuff 1/4 diameter and make custom jaws for the lathes for wheel work I've done in the past. And everything is manual. I don't play with CNC anymore. If the wheels aren't being produced by the time all the axle work is done I will have to make some just to please my scale obsession. 3 sets of 2.2 wheels just ain't enough. Haha
I don't want someone doing the work for me , more for everyone else. I've seen how intense some of these guys get with detail and then they are slapping on some non crawler wheels. Maybe I'm the only die hard crawler out here that cares for accuracy. That's fine too. I'll just have to find the time like I am for the axles to get what I want.
Doesn't hurt to ask and hope someone takes notice. Besides, nothing against Rc4wd, but I want to buy American.
Thanks

We (RC4WD) have some more simple style beadlocks in the works too. A lot of our currect wheels can be retro fit with our scale hex bolts and our new wheels will have them where possible.

I'm with Clay on this one. I've been holding out on buying 1.9 wheels for awhile. I don't want plastic and I don't want something that is "close" to scale looking. I'm stuck on a few brands because the wheels will take any tire bead....just need that scale touch to make me buy a set.
