Trump's Pro-Line Jeep Wrangler Rubicon build.

Are you running a winch and lights on the 4pl? I have a dx4s but I don't see a way to have them both on a switch.. EDIT: Nvm I forgot about my shift servo....

I'm actually running two winches and lights with a 4PL. I wired up a switch so I can switch between the front and rear winch (channel 3). I use channel 4 for the lights.

Yeah I forgot one of my channels is used for the shifting servo for the TF2 trans. I have a winch on channel 4 and the lights on the bind plug. Would love to be able to turn it on and off but I don't think I can do that in the bind channel.

I found this on - off switch that came with my radio. The switch allows me to install my batteries without powering the Rx. So I simply plugged one end into the Rx ("BATT") and the other end to the BEC. It couldn't have been any easier.

If you are set in being able to switch your lights on or off you can do one of the following:

You can install a switch like the one shown above between your lights and binding plug.

You can splice your own switch on the red power line.

You can try installing a Integy wireless remote control and use it to turn your lights on or off.

I hope this helps you.

Winner winner, chicken dinner!

This Jeep is not a shelf queen. I entered a Tough Truck Challenge. It was my first time in such an event.

I won the Tonka Truck pull. I was the only one to make a full pull. There was a brick size steel block in the bed about 3" x 3" x 8". It must have weighed between 15 and 20 pounds.

I came about two feet short of exiting the mud hole. I would have made it out if my winch line didn't break.

New front bumper:

I started a new front bumper.

Here's what I started with ...

and I came up with this.

Next I drilled some holes to hold the Viking fairlead.

Next step is to drill/bore a large oval hole for the winch line.

Looks great! What interior did you use? Also do you know anyone that makes bushwacker style pocket fender flares for that body?

Thank you. I used the Dingo's interior. You might want to try the Dingo's fender flares. I'll take a look at mine and see if they'll fit.

Last night I took a look at the Dingo's fenders and I think they'll fit with some trimming. I just held them up against the Jeeps' fender and it looked like they would fit. I forgot to look at the rear fenders (doh), so I'll take another look.

Here a just a few more pictures:

Here is a short video testing the XR10 steering:

In this vid do you have locked diffs because that is some serious steering lock. It looks quite a slippery floor and I'd have thought it would 'skitter' forwards if it has locked diffs all round but cannot be sure.

Might shoot myself in the foot here ,,,But I gotta ask ,,after burying the rig [ my KMS K3 403 oz Hitec 7954 ] in the mud is it still working ,,I never tested that,,just things like tryin to lift the house ,,Thank you Robert

Surprisingly and/or luckily the KMS winch still works. I tested it the next day and it worked.

The Tekin motor didn't work. After the TTC I wanted to run some of the courses again and the motor was dead.

I thought maybe the ESC got wet. When I started taking things apart I found out that the motor was hard to turn by hand. I sprayed some WD40 and the motor got smooth. It worked for on the next outing then quit. I cleaned it a second time with some electrical cleaner and the motor worked for two hours and quit again. I ended up sending the motor to Tekin for service. I should get it back tomorrow or the next day.

Thats good to hear,, if you have any problems with it send it back ,I will repack the gears with wheel bearing grease ,,the bearing's could probly use a little cleaning .The only place where water/mud could get into the servo case is where the spool sit's theres .003 of clearance ,but then theres a bearing there with the large lower servo gear ..Thank you,,Robert

Hey Robert,

Thank you very much for the offer. This KMX winch is very powerful. I busted the line while spooling in the line because I didn't stop it in time.

Thats 200lb down rigger line .Probly broke at the not,,Thank you Robert
