TRX4 Sport kit

My TRX4 is from the first release batch so it is coming up on being 2 years old. These days it is down to only a front diff locker since that is all I found myself using as time went on. The lockers and 2 speed won't be missed much.

i hear a lot of people say they like the 2 speed at least for gettign between obstacles on the trail?

I am picking one up this afternoon at a local hobby shop. They are selling it at $265. I think I will give the local shop the business even though it's $15 more.

I went for it. Wanted lockers and a 2 speed but dont wanna pay the price of entry for the full blown rig or use their electronics.

My LHS has 3 left in stock they are going fast. Already moved 9 out the door this week

did it let you check out? traxxas is listed on their "cant use a coupon" list.

If the individual item isn’t tagged with the “no coupons” marking, Amain’s system will apply the coupon and let you check out. I’ve done it with Axial kits and a few other things before they get around to updating the settings to disallow coupons.

Pulled the trigger with that coupon code, took the the standard slow shipping it will be here on the 18th, pretty sweet for $249 shipped!

You thieves stealing money from poor AMain and Traxxas! :ror:

I'm freaking jealous I didn't know about this. I wonder if AMain will have any repercussions from Traxxas.

Argh! So sad I pre-ordered before the coupon code.

Oh well... It's worth full price anyway. [emoji2369]

Does anybody know the FDR of the Traxxas Sport as well as the FDRs of the two speed TRX-4 trucks? I can't seem to find that info.

FDR? Is that final drive ratio? sorry I don't know the answer. I have heard that its geared too fast. I've got the kit on the way and as well as a 45t Spur gear. ill probably drop down to a 10t pinion.

Stock spur is 39T
stock pinion is 17T

Yes, FDR = Final Drive Ratio.

I also read that the Sport is too fast so I want to get a different pinion and or spur gear before I build the kit.

Thanks for the pinion/spur info.

I looked at the manual for the Sport Kit and the Bronco and this is what I found:

Sport Kit
39/17 x 15.8 = 36.25

Bronco
High Gear
45/11 x 6.32 = 25.85

Low Gear
45/11 x 15.8 = 64.64
