Unimog Trials trucks

I got lucky and found some time to build tonight. No update pictures but I got a lot done. All the boat side and fender nuts are brazed on, cleaned the brazing up a bit (luckily it didn't need much), painted the interior, and even worked on the F-Toy a bit.

Tomorrow I'm hoping to paint the cage at work, the shop will be stinky again tomorrow:lol: Then I need to get the styrene work done then start detailing. Man this thing has been a lot of work. Good thing I run a cheater interior.

I had to go down to the garage so I took a couple pictures.

I can't get the color to come out right in the pictures. It's pretty ugly but I like it.

I've always wanted to do a Dakar Rally truck but I'm way better at tube work that styrene.

Cool rigs! Look forward to seeing how they perform on the trails

Me too. There's a lot to do before they get any trail time though

Dang Zach you got quite a bit done and it looks good. Are you down for working on these somemore on Friday?

Hopefully on Friday but I'm doubtful.

It's starting to take shape but is FAR FROM DONE! There will be a styrene panel to cover the hole in the rear of the cab with a box and with a tire mount integrated to cover the tranny. The bed and fenders need to be replaced but you get the idea.

Amazing work Zach! I am going to call dibs on this one if you decide to sell it!

That Bronco is dying for some 5" tires. But the 'Mog is looking good. Donno about Yellow though. :ror:

LOL, everyone of my rigs has dibbs on it, you're not first in line on this one though8) Not that I have any intentions to sell it.

Oh man to I have to disagree with you on that one. The Bronco has in my opinion a perfect stance8)

I wish I could take pictures to do it justice but the yellow actually looks really good in person. I can't think of another color that I can get in a spray can for Lexan that I like more.

What a beauty!!! "thumbsup"
Luckily you picked this really nice yellow tone instead of a red one, like on this 416 - the 1:1 I´ll copy one day:

This is a private Mog, built up by the famous german company "Hellgeth" which is well known for building race- and trial-Mogs "thumbsup"

Your tube work is perfect - one day I´ll hope to be able to build cages like the Mog-one you´ve done . . .
