vintage kyosho truck...... help!!!

yup! chevy 4x4. i had one as a kid. i had an entire spool of chain for it as extra. my girlfriend got me one off ebay for my b-day awhile back. they are pretty cool but fragile. 4-wheel independent suspension, lexan radio box, 2-speed automatic, oneway front hubs, 550 motor. i also had the gas datsun version. i ran an o.s. .10 in it, totally reworked. that thing hauled! the chevy wouldn't be a good crawler though. not enough reduction and the chain drive is weak. cool for nostalgic reasons and a great piece of r/c history.

Yes, it is a Kyosho 4x4 chain driven. I am not sure of the proper name of it. I have always seen them refrred to on Ebay as Kyosho 4x4. They are only worth $100 in decent shape. I was a Bruiser type truck but never the quaulity of the Bruiser.

I've got an old Kyosh Gallop. It was another wierdo chain driven vehicle made by Kyosho. It's a buggy and not a truck, but it is 4wd and 4ws! Not too many buggys came with 4 wheel steering.

yeah, thats what i was HOPING it was...............but i went there today, big letdown. he didnt have one, it was a "hirobo" something or other. it had a sealed battery compartment, and belt driven 4wd. it was pretty cool, but it would be a better dune car than a crawler. im totally bummed out. but at least its the kyosho 4x4 isnt as rare as i thought. if anyone has one, LMK.

dude i know what that rc was . man ohh man u shouldeve got it. it probably was a hirobo hilux.dude u are talking about one awesome rc .that thing is 10 times as worth more value than a kyosho chevy 4x4 i saw one on ebay as a kit and one built.kit went for 2500 dallors and the built one 850 but it was missing some peices and dirty greased up.man that is a real cool rc i wished i had one!! I know this thread is old but it just ocured to me what it was.:twisted:
