What are the pros and cons of converting an Ecto to a 4 link rear suspension?

trialing arms have better shock position, triangulation and faster response for speed while the 4 link allows for more articulation at slow pace. Trailing arms usually have a shock center position needing the leverage and travel created by this position thus needing the sway bars in most scenarios for control, it is much more of a plush compared to the axle shock mounts on a 4 link which allow for more flex for slower speeds. Trailing arms will give you speed but it will cost you on clearance, different set ups for different purposes.

Trailing arms will definitely will cost you clearance or give you or extra sliding surface depending on your interpretation. Loosing the sway bar will allow more travel and articulation but will cost stability at higher speed. It will make the rear end bounce around more when at speed and going through whoops which is where this set up shines and is used for fast pace vehicles as compared for the preferred 4 link suspension for crawling.
