What are these tires in this pic from RCX 08

...they are part of the WK Conversion Set that is coming out...Still no real release date announced here either...

When i was at the show today. I asked a HPI representative if these were from them. And he said yes, That the Beadlocks are going to come out soon. But he did not tell me a release date. And the tires, he said they are still tweaking on them tring to find the right thread pattern and the compound. The tires were very soft when i touched them.

Yup, very soft compound. The HPI rep told me that the current compound was too soft and they were working to make it better. This will be a good tire when its released and I believe it is bigger than 5". Funny it was the first thing I noticed when I walked into the building:)

if it is bigger than 5" i probably wont buy it for anything more than bashing which would mean I would want a slightly stiffer compound. And two, I think we should stop focusing on the word "soft" It is getting way over used. The number one quality for a good crawler tire is how sticky it is. You could make a wheel out of cotton and it would be super duper soft but never would hook up. Softness is a secondary characteristic that usually comes with sticky. A soft tire is not necessarily sticky but a sticky tire probably is soft.

I just picked up on these in an ad for the WK Crawler Conversion Kit in the latest RCD. Page 119. Now that I see them in more detailed pictures, it's clear the aren't something I'm looking for.
