i just finished my first crawler and would like to eventually install a brushless. i noticed that in most brushless forums, people meantion bec. i have searched this website and others and still have no answer. so please tell me, what is bec?

Battery Eliminator Circuit, it is part of an ESC that supplies power to the servo(s).

battey eleminating circuitry it converts 7.2v from your stick pack to 6v for your receiver so you dont have to run a second battery

so on a mamba 25 amp, i see alot of people installing rx batteries also. does that mean the bec is lower than 6v? just wondering as i plan to get one soon

it depends on how many servos you plan to run a single good servo should be ok 2 could draw more power than it will be able to put out and cause the servos to be weak
