I’d be down for a sensored brushless version...never mind I already pieced one of those together. How ‘bout steel links instead of aluminum, I still haven’t bent, or broke the stock links that came with my K5.

Just so you understand, the reason for switching from alum to titanium or steel links is the alum doesn't side for shit on the rocks! So much for guys that think smart ass remarks are needed in a informational thread.

IMO the best fix for the torque twist is the gear reduction portals I've been begging for for years now. Maybe we can convince SSD to make adapters and shafts to retrofit trx4 portals.
Figure a 2:1 portal and the 1.86 ring/pinion brings the combined reduction to 3.72, which seems like it should be enough. Plenty of available pinion/spur options to gear back up to stock. Sure it raises the COG, but that's almost as easy as reducing spring preload to fix.
But while we are in wishing mode, it would be super nice if Vaterra did there own portals paired with some double cardan shafts for 70* of bind free steering.
Out of everything else on the list my only other complaint is the upper link mounts. I've been asking for ones that tie into additional mounting holes since the initial release. I've been lucky enough to not break the bolts off in the housing, but they do slowly distort over time and enough abuse.
