Whats wrong with the Canadians?

we choose to spend our tax dollars on making things better for canadians
where as americans spend their tax dollars on foreign wars and killing people and shit

WE?

You're not even a Canadian citizen, and "WE" spend our tax dollars protecting other Nations all over the world (like Canadia).

As for you, best I can tell is that you're a Illeagal/legal alien to their country.

yeah good thing only citizens pay taxes.

you know nothing about me but only make dumb blanket statements whenever i post. get a life loser.

sounds like shitty accounting to me.

Actually its called having a professional do my tax return, having three kids all in school, and lets also not forget....all the tax breaks a US citizen gets, ranging for correct income bracket, to being a full time college student myself. I don't see that as "shitty accounting" I pay someone that has a degree in accounting to do my taxes, while also protecting me from audits.

While I wont bash Canada, I will say a few of those that I have corresponded with over the internet....are either decent people, or just bat sh*t crazy. While I will agree that Canada gets free medical, and free college....lets just chalk it up to two completely different countries, and cultures

True, but better/more efficient/smarter spending of US tax dollars could easily buy health insurance for its citizens.
It sure could, our system isn't perfect but I'd rather spend a bit more in taxes to have the option to go to the hospital or doctor whenever I want and not have to worry about how I'm going to pay the bill.

Where can I get some of this free college?

Sounds s great in theory. My Mother worked in the Health Care field for 20+ years. I can't tell you how many times she would tell us of Canadian patients that came here to get their care because they were tired of waiting for it in "free" Canadian system.

What good is it to be "free" if you die before you can get care?

Honestly...I like many other Americans have thousands of dollars yearly deducted out of payroll....for what? I know I wont ever see Medicare, or Social Security when I hit 65, but yet I pay for it for others to enjoy.

We have a screwy system in the USA, I wont complain about it...since I cant fix it.

I dont think its that, in canada its hard to get a doctor to look at you, or do surgery unless you NEED it. in the US any doctor will do it, money talks.

I have friends who's grandparents go to the US every year just to have their hearts looked at cause they cant get it done here "just because", yeah they have to pay for it when they get there though.

But that doesn't mean it can't work here. No system is perfect.

Ive got a few friends in Ontario area that are claiming to have free college....granted Im from the Midwest of USA....so I take it on faith that they know what their talking about. Never been to Canada, so I dunno :ror:
AFAIK, only Native Indians can get free college. If you get a full ride scholarship than that's another way as well.

Like I said, it's not perfect (far from it actually), but for me I wouldn't have to wait very long at all (I guess Crohn's can have it's benefits). It's mostly from not enough doctors, or money in some places. There are some doctors or specialists that want to set up private practices but there's a ton of people opposed to it because it would "diminish" what we already have. I for one am in favour of it, people that can afford to pay up front or whatever can go there, and everybody else can use the public system.

There's also the cases of people tying up E.R.'s because they don't go to a doctor or afterhours clinic for very minor things.

I will be the first to admit that our Health Care system needs work.

That said, why destroy the best medical system on the planet only to try what has been tried all over the world only to time and time again prove it doesn't work.
