Just curious, but is this something that's already been decided? Did I miss the thread? I'm much more in favor of the setup like USRCCA has with each club having a representative to the rules comittee. I'm not sure why the ability to travel to a "National" event should dictate a superiority in deciding rules.

The problem is that we can't police true scaleness and make people provide a spec sheet showing the true scale of their body, tires, tubing, shock length, etc. Although I can provide that for Guido if anyone would like. ;-) Many people even at scale Nats don't know what the scale of their rig is, they throw whatever tire looks about right, or is tall enough, under the body of their choice and go with it.
Look at Pepe with Rok Lox on it. It is not a true scale rig.
You really have to be building an extreme truck to make a 2.2 look scale. Luckily the 1:1 Four Wheeler Top Truck Challenge has made rigs like this more mainstream. Guido's WB is 13 1/4", really close to WarPig's Bronco.I agree with u. 2.2's are hard to make look real scale. What is the WB of gudio
There is no room for fun in comps Brett! This is what I find funny. Those that bitch about tires not being scale also run links, shocks, springs, bodies, tires, etc... that are not all on the same level of being scale with each other.
Although... I'm one that goes with what looks scale in my eyes. To me, the Pitbulls look scale when on the right rig. Yes they boarder the lines of Scale vs. Comp perspectives but these are TOYS!! They are meant to be FUN.
:ror: Thanks, looks cool, not very scale, but tons of fun. "thumbsup"No, but it looks good. So no whining.![]()
Hmmm, I'll scale out the Proline XJ body I have with my daughter's 1:1 XJ this weekend. That is bigger than I thought. Is the Proline MJ cab the same size as the XJ body or bigger?I'm not sure on the scale of the MJ but I can tell you it is bigger than a hilux that is supposed to be 1/9 scale?
This is the hilux.
And this is the same chassis with the MJ.
Anyone look at the size of the lugs on the new Proline tire? They are huge, kinda reminds me of the 2.2 Rockstomper.

Too bad they aren't hollow....then they'd be perfect.

...would be running a 45" to 53" tire on 22" rims... haven't seen any rig, even TTC trucks run 22" rims.
