winch spools?

Two big round horns with a spacer and long screw. Works great, it's close to the servo so there is not excessive stress on the bearings.

i just used a sewing spool also, attached it to a round servo horn.. works pretty good and holds a grip of line.. im using 65lb test fishin line from walmart.. like $10.00

i also use the sewing spools. bought a pack of 10 for about $3 or $4 i think it was. look in sewiing and fabric section.

I used the servo saver from the TLT kit.Left off the metal band and trimed the rest.I glued a couple pieces of styrene on either side to make the diameter a little bigger.Had I known I would have showed it to you at the GTG.

I used a Round servo horn and bolted it (4 bolts) to a OLD 4 screw 1/12th scale pan car rear hub, I put bearing inside the hub on both side (One agains the Horn and one at the other eextremity, I then used a broken 1/12th pan car axel and chopped a Pan car motor mount to lower it so that I can hold the other end of the axel (as a support) using a ride hight adjuster and another pancar axel bearing.

Its not a small winch setup ... BUT its strong whoa ! It can pull 20+lbs vertically, it sits on a 1/8 aluminum plate. I am using 80lbs test fishing line.
