Got everything ordered last night after work. (well, early this morning)

Keep an eye on the "For Sale" section here, too. Sometimes you'll find good deals.
Tried that route, had a few things fall through.

What did you have in mind for a trail rig?
Kept going back and forth between tearing apart the Missus' AX10 and building on either an X-trail or stock SCX chassis. The SCX chassis kept going out of stock. Got so frustrated I almost bought the Dingo Kit (which at this point would have been cheaper), but thought I was doing a good thing by re-using the Scorpion's underpinnings. And you know the rule, No Good Deed Goes Unpunished.
Not sure what to do about a body yet, got a long way to go before that. But some of the other stuff I ordered were,
SCX chassis kit
RC4WD
Rock Stompers
RC4WD
OEM Steel Beadlocks (in powdercoat black)
Couple of
Yeah Racing light kits (heard they're good for blinding judges/timers at comps, could get me an extra minute or so to get through the courses. )
a
Holmes handwound 35 turn motor
another
CC BEC
and a
Futaba R2106GF receiver that I hope and pray is going to work with my 2PL.
I wanted to go with the Outcropper tires, I think if I went with an OD green or flat camo miltary theme, they'da looked the part. The wife thought they looked too toyish if I didn't go that way. Then I saw the video RC4WD has on their Rock Stomper page, and those just look like they'll flat out work without getting loaded up in mud or snow. Not sure I'm all too excited about running pin mount wheels, but the silver aluminum billet hex hubs would look silly in the middle of black wheels.
At this point, I'm kinda wanting to re-use the AE-1 ESC, but it sure would be nice to have something with a LiPo cutoff.
