here are a few pic's of the motor skids i made from 1mm delrin.

Will that yellow arm help the stock steering?

steering throw, no, that has to do with what servo you are using and the epa you set. It does allow the servo to work more effective, less stress on the servo, because it throws parallel to the servo and not behind it, which inturn puts more of the power to the wheels and reduces heat. Hope this helps.

yeah itll reduce the strain on the servo and help keep it form overheating. the stock knuckles don't have the ability to turn as far as the VP knuckles. i dont know if the HR or the stock replacements are any better.

Interesting philosophy John. I can't wait to compete with you Sunday and see how the backwards chassis works.

Explain to me Sunday what it is that you see that makes it work better than the way Brandon and team designed it. I am withholding any doubts until I see it run and have the reason explained. Maybe you are on to something?

If you beat me Sunday I will be the first to say how well it works.

I'm still learning the ins and outs of my UGC proto so you have a chance :twisted:

as you can see the in the rear lower links and in the body post mounts that the chassis is correct. thanks for all your comments and trying to help me out, no hard feelings at all. loljust kidding.

Ok, it's not backwards John. Much easier to tell from those photos. And I should have known better, I have seen the truck in person.

Looking forward to Sunday "thumbsup" You are not getting optimal clearance with the rear links reversed though. You get just a bit higher at the skid, but lower where the link crosses the tire, which is where you want the height.

Did you have to do anything to make that big servo fit on the front axle? Does it stick out very far? I know you aren't still using that plastic servo horn. Maybe its time for an update.

did nothing to make the servo fit except start the screws at an angle,doesnt stick out to far,im using the hanger 9 horn. been having computer problems, thats why no updates.and thanks on the 2nd place finish.:mrgreen:
